(Minghui.org) Mr. Li Shuiting from She County, Hebei Province was arrested again on April 21 for distributing materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.
Agents from She County Domestic Security Office ransacked Mr. Li's house and confiscated his personal belongings, including three printers, one computer, a CD burner, and some Falun Gong informational materials. He is currently held at She County Detention Center.
Mr. Li's latest arrest occurred about four years after his release from a one-year term at a labor camp for disseminating information about Falun Gong.
Earlier Arrest
Mr. Li was arrested for the first time on October 1, 2009, two days after his principal Zhao Yunping at She County No. 3 Middle School reported him to police for making and distributing Falun Gong informational materials.
Hu Huaichao then led several officers to search Mr. Li's house when no one was home. They scaled the courtyard wall and broke into the house. They confiscated a lot of personal belongings, including a computer, a desk, a printer, a paper cutter, some portable hard drives, VCDs, cell phones, a TV set, an electric bicycle, cash, and Falun Gong books and informational materials.
The local education department was fined 10,000 yuan and Mr. Li's school 5,000 yuan for his refusal to give up his belief in Falun Gong. Mr. Li himself was also ordered to pay a fine of 5,000 yuan. In addition, he suffered both physical and mental abuse during his 38 days of detention at She County Detention Center.
The police next sent Mr. Li to a forced labor camp to serve a one-year term. As if that was not enough, they also threatened and harassed his siblings, as well as his colleagues who were close to him. In particular, one of Mr. Li's sisters was forced by the police to pay 3,000 yuan.
Upon his release, Mr. Li was re-assigned to an elementary school in a remote county, where he stayed until his most recent arrest this April.
