(Minghui.org) More than a 4,000 criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin have been filed in recent weeks and months. Most of the complaints were filed by Falun Gong practitioners – people who are brave enough to speak out publicly about the persecution despite the fact that they or their families may face further persecution for daring to doing so.
Remembering what happened on April 25 and July 20, 1999, I believe that practitioners now face another test.
The persecution was launched by Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 1999.
Since the onset of the persecution, tens of thousands of practitioners have traveled to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong.
In this way, many practitioners chose to defend Falun Gong, even at the risk of their own lives. When they set off to Beijing, some did so fearing that they may never see their homes or families again.
Others had a more righteous thought. They believed, “I am going go Beijing to prove that Falun Gong is good, and nothing can interfere with me. I will return home safely.”
In my understanding, this is a far more pure thought than going and expecting to be arrested.
More than 10,000 practitioners went to Beijing on April 25, 1999. If more practitioners would have been there—for example, 100,000 or 300,000—the onset of the persecution may never have occurred.
In the several years that followed, many practitioners traveled to Tiananmen Square to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Many were arrested, but many others still went there and returned home safely. Practitioners might have different reasons for their decision to go, but going to Tiananmen was a very courageous thing to do. That period has past. Those who did not go may have lost their chance.
When practitioners went to Tiananmen to appeal, one practitioner saw certain things through his celestial eye. “When one practitioner appeared in Tiananmen Square, a poisoned arrow was removed from Master’s back,” he said. “Likewise, every lawsuit is now a magic arrow dashing toward Jiang Zemin.”
I believe that the current lawsuit trend offers a good opportunity for everyone, especially those who did not have the courage to step out in the past.
Some practitioners are reading the Falun Gong books, sending righteous thoughts, and clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in public daily. But, it seems that some are still not that dedicated when it comes to their personal cultivation.
Some elderly practitioners do find time to study the Falun Gong books, send forth righteous thought, and occasionally clarify the facts about Falun Gong. Then they believe that they have done enough, so they are waiting for their consummation.
But, I believe that we may still face a huge test before we reach consummation. There will be no free rides.
Only genuine practitioners become disease free after Master purifies their bodies. By the same token, only genuine practitioners succeed in cultivation and reach consummation. Master is allowing extra time for those of us who have not wholeheartedly devoted our lives to Falun Gong.
I often felt ashamed when I encountered interference due to lack of righteous thoughts. When I faced sickness karma, I wondered, “I have been practicing Falun Gong for many years. How could this happen to me?” The right question should have been, “Am I truly cultivating myself?”
China’s current leaders have not arrested Jiang Zemin, although they could have easily done so during their latest “anti-corruption” campaign. So what are they waiting for? I believe this case is controlled by divine intervention, and that bringing Jiang Zemin to justice is our responsibility.
I suggest that everyone who wants to do the right thing begin to draft their own lawsuit. Some may need help from a fellow practitioner or a lawyer, but we cannot neglect our ongoing efforts to help more people know the facts about Falun Gong.
By persecuting Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin violated not only international laws, but also China's laws and its constitution. History will bring this evil ringleader to justice. We practitioners should do our part.
