(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Tang Shixing and Ms. Yin Aimei were transferred to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center, and Ms. Wang Xiaoli and Mr. Dong Youcai to the Qingyuanshanzhuang Brainwashing Center on June 14, 2015. All four were detained for 15 days before this transfer.
Mr. Dong and Ms. Wang were advised that they would be released after 40 days if they gave up Falun Gong, and if they did not renounce this spiritual practice, they would be transferred to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.
Eight practitioners were arrested by officers from the Muzidian Town Police Station on May 30, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated Mr. Dong's car and a cell phone.
Four practitioners, including Ms. Liu Jiqing, Ms. Zheng Cuiyu, Ms. Chen Pingfang, and Ms. Fan were released after a 15 day detention.
Prior Arrests and Detentions
The Macheng City Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Committee, Political and Legal Affairs Committee, 610 Office, Police Department, and Domestic Security Division set up a brainwashing center at the Macheng City Detention Center in October 2011.
Officials from Macheng City have arrested and taken practitioners to brainwashing centers five times between 2011 and 2015. The officers confiscated and extorted personal belongings from the practitioners’ families valued at approximately 200,000 yuan.
Five Practitioners Arrested in 2014
Ms. Liu Jiqing, Ms. Tian Yinhua, Ms. Wang Shuwen, Ms. Zhang Dewen, and Ms. Tang Shixing were arrested by officers from the Macheng City Domestic Security Division on August 20-26, 2014.
The police ransacked the homes of Ms. Liu, Ms. Tian, and Ms. Zhang, and extorted 4,400 yuan from Ms. Tian’s husband.
Ms. Tian had heart problems while at the Macheng Detention Center. Despite her health condition, police took her to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center, which did not accept her.
Four Practitioners Arrested in 2013
Ms. Peng Baoying, Ms. Liu Yongmei, Ms. Zeng Yinhuan, and Ms. Deng He were arrested by officers from the Macheng City Domestic Security Division in July 2013.
Ms. Zeng was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.
Ms. Liu and Ms. Zeng were injected with unknown drugs.
Six Practitioners Arrested in 2012
Zhou Kaishu and Ding Pengcheng from the Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Xiong Youyi, Ms. Xu Zhenge, Ms. Jiang Zhengxiang, Ms. Hu Xiuzhen, Ms. Chen Danshu, and Mr. Shen Bogui in June 2012.
Mr. Xiong was detained at the Wuhan Brainwashing Center for a year. Mr. Shen was also taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center but was not accepted.
Eight Practitioners Arrested in 2011
Ms. Tao Lahuai, Ms. Liu Jiqing, Mr. Wu Shuangxi, Ms. Liang Fengmei, Ms. Liu Nianhua, Mr. Zhu Changkui, Ms. Peng Weixiang, and Ms. Wu Xiaolan were arrested and taken to the Macheng City Brainwashing Center, located in the Macheng City Detention Center, in 2011.
Ms. Tao, Ms. Liu, and Mr. Wu were transferred to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center in Hubei Province later.
Mr. Zhu died because of the persecution in late 2012.
