June 8, 2015 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Gansu Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Wei Xueling, 64, from Qingcheng County, Gansu Province, has recently filed a complaint in the Supreme People's Procuratorate against former Chinese Communist Party head Jiang Zemin.

In her complaint, Ms. Wei stated: “Since the persecution of Falun Gong began, my home has been ransacked, I have been illegally detained, and I have been subjected to brainwashing. The total loss of personal property as a result of the persecution amounts to 7,680 yuan.

“I wish to file a complaint with the Supreme People's Procuratorate against Jiang Zemin, and, pursuant to the Constitution and international laws, hold him accountable for crimes against humanity, genocide, torture, arrest, unlawful deprivation of civic religious belief, illegal detention, defamation, illegal intrusion into citizens' residences, extortion, and illegal searches.

“I also wish to request an end to all the injustices, including regulations, prohibitions, and restrictions, made against Falun Gong on behalf of Jiang Zemin and in the name of the State. I demand immediate release of all illegally-detained or sentenced Falun Gong practitioners, remove Mr. Li Hongzhi—the founder of Falun Gong—from the 'Most Wanted' list, and hold all officials involved in the persecution of Falun Gong responsible for their crimes.”

Ms. Wei Recounts Her Persecution

I was arrested by officers from the Qingyang City Police Department on December 17, 2011. They transferred me to the Domestic Security Division, where I was held for a day and a night. After my family paid a ransom of 1,000 yuan, I was taken to the Qingcheng Police Department Detention Center, where I was detained for nine days.

When the police sent me for a hospital checkup, the doctors found that I was in poor health. After extorting 5,000 yuan from my family, they released me so they would not be held responsible if something happened to me.

In December 2012, I received a call from a police officer surnamed Peng from the Changqing Oilfield Police Department. Peng told me to come to the police department, but I told him I would not go. He threatened me and said that if I did not cooperate with him, he would come to arrest me at my home.

When I went to the police department, he seized me and took me to the so-called “legal school,” where I was subjected to brainwashing for five days before I was released. During the brainwashing session, I was forced to watch videos that defamed Falun Gong.

Jia, section chief of Qingyang 610 Office, also threatened me, saying that if I did not renounce Falun Gong, he would suspend my husband's salary. I was constantly harassed even after I was released.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. Many more have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising their right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
