(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Toronto held a “Great Wall of Truth” event on July 6, 2015. Banners and display boards were displayed along the streets, and informational materials were available for passersby. Visitors and residents of Toronto's Chinatown that afternoon learned about the wave of criminal complaints being submitted against Jiang Zemin in China.
More than 60,000 Chinese have filed criminal complaints against former dictator Jiang Zemin between late May and July 9, 2015, according to the Minghui website. Jiang Zemin ordered the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, a brutal campaign that has jailed and killed thousands of Falun Gong practitioners. The state-sanctioned organ harvesting and trafficking system that has murdered thousands of Falun Gong practitioners for their organs every year was also exposed.
Of the 36 Toronto residents who have mailed or are preparing complaints against Jiang, 29 participated in Monday's event.

Mr. Van from Houston Texas said he would be happy to see the former dictator put on trial.

Many passersby expressed their support for the effort to bring the former dictator to justice. Van, a tourist from Houston, said he had heard about Falun Gong in the news. He was happy to hear that Jiang Zemin was being criminally charged because Jiang's condoning the forced harvesting of organs from living people is inhuman.
Toronto resident Mr. Ngan Van said he was angered by the persecution of Falun Gong, a group of peaceful and honest people.
Mr. Lu Fang, former deputy director of the Technical and Quality Department Survey and Design Division of the Chinese Ministry of Construction, joined thousands of other Falun Gong practitioners who have filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin.
Lu fled China in February 2010, after he had been jailed in a forced labor camp, dismissed from his job, forced into a “brainwashing institute,” and was constantly harassed and under around-the-clock surveillance for nine years.
“China has a constitution that protects people's right of freedom of belief. However, Jiang Zemin took the lead to violate the law,” said Lu Fang. “A persecution against Falun Gong, whose practitioners believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, will certainly result in destroying the Chinese people's moral standard.”
Mr. Jiao Jianwen, a former medical doctor at the hospital attached to Bingzhou Medical School in Shandong Province, was detained and tortured after the persecution started. He was beaten, locked in an iron cage, forced to sit on a steel torture chair for long hours, and made stand in the blazing summer sun for long hours, among many other tortures.
The authorities ransacked Jiao's house, and kept him under surveillance for years, until he escaped the persecution and arrived in Canada.
Ms. Mai Qiuju, formerly a worker at the Asset Management Company of Henan Province Native Produce Import and Export Corporation, had been detained five times and jailed in Henan Province Women's Prison, where she was tortured, brainwashed, and forced to labor for long hours.
Both Mr. Jiao and Ms. Mai have filed criminal complaints against Jiang.
