(Minghui.org) Tens of officers from five stations under the Heping District Police Department in Shenyang arrested seven Falun Gong practitioners in their homes on July 16, 2015, taking their computers, printers, CD burners, and other personal belongings.
The practitioners were Ms. Li Wei, Ms. Kong Fanzhen, Ms. Lin Hong, Ms. Zhang Wenyi and her daughter, Mr. Ma Binggui, and Ms. Ying. At the time of writing, only Ms. Ying has been released on bail due to her pregnancy. The others are held in Shenyang City Detention Center.
More than ten officers from Hunhewan Police Station arrived at Ms. Kong Fanzhen’s home at 6:00 am on July 16, 2015. After arresting the 56-year-old Ms. Kong, officers handcuffed her husband and did not let him and their daughter go to work. Ms. Kong’s elder sister, who happened to visit, was also held inside the house. The elderly woman was so terrified that she had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital after extensive pleas from family members. Ms. Kong Fanzhen was taken to Shenyang City Detention Center.
Ms. Li Wei, a clerk at the Retired Official Affairs Division in Shenyang Agriculture University, and Ms. Lin Hong were both arrested by officers from Wusong Police Station.
Ms. Zhang Wenyi and her daughter were both arrested. Ms. Zhang's husband passed away a month earlier, leaving her as the primary caretaker for her 80-year-old mother. Ms. Zhang’s daughter is a professor and researcher at the Agriculture University; her superiors at the school called for her release but has been unsuccessful.
Mr. Ma Binggui's daughter is in her 20s and is mentally handicapped. She has been left home alone due to his arrest.
Ms. Ying is a teacher at the Agriculture University.Perpetrators' contact information:Hunhewan Police Station: +86-24-23301348Zhang Huasong (张华嵩), deputy head: +86-15542247373
