A Changing Tide: Many Police Officers Have Stopped Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners

Aug. 24, 2015 |   By a correspondent from Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) On July 11, 2015, two Falun Gong practitioners were clarifying the facts to people on the street. They met an unfriendly bystander but did not permit the stranger to deter them from talking to people. However, a police vehicle came by and the police proceeded to search their bags.

The two practitioners were carrying publications of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Shen Yun DVDs. They were taken to the police station. One officer said, “Sit down and rest.” The officer who was watching them left. Another came and asked, “How old are you? Where do you live?” Seeing the Shen Yun DVDs he asked, “What is this?” The practitioners said, “These are wonderful performance arts DVDs.” The women did not reveal their names and addresses, nor did the officer ask any further questions or document anything. He left after a few minutes.

The two practitioners sat in meditation and sent forth righteous thoughts. They sat for over an hour until dinner time but nobody paid attention to them. One of the practitioner said, “We need to go home and have dinner.” But nobody responded. Then it time for the restroom. An officer said, “There is no restroom in here, it's outside.” Apparently, he was hinting for them to leave.

So, the two practitioners left the police station. They returned the next day for their bicycles.

Many policemen have stopped persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and many have become supportive. It is becoming even more apparent now, with the trend of suing Jiang Zemin.
