(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from Kassel, Östringen, and Hannover, Germany, set up an information booth in downtown Kassel on August 22, 2015, to inform people about the practice of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) and the fact that it has been persecuted in China for the last 16 years.
Passersby had an opportunity to sign three different petitions. One condemned the persecution and organ harvesting and demanded an immediate end to these atrocities. The other two petitions, one in English and one in Chinese, expressed support for the wave of lawsuits against the main perpetrator of the persecution, Jiang Zemin, the former head of China.
A large group of young African men listened to a practitioner tell them, partly in German and partly in English, about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Half of them understood the connection and noticed parallels with the oppression and organ harvesting in their home country. They signed to support the right to freedom of belief. One man in the group said that he was an English teacher in Nigeria. He praised the good work by practitioners and wished them well.
Those in the group who did not really understand, stood around indecisively until an Iranian practitioner led them to a large poster with pictures about Falun Dafa and the persecution. No more words were needed.
The young men then understood and signed the petitions. They also took informational materials with them and promised to tell their relatives, families, and friends about the persecution.
A large group of young English students learned about Falun Dafa and took informational flyers. They also watched the Falun Dafa exercises demonstration. These young people were impressed by what a practitioner said about the main text of Falun Dafa, Zhuan Falun, by Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of the practice. She said that one could really improve as a human being on the basis of its principles. The practitioner also told them how she herself had benefited from cultivating.
One passerby who signed the petitions said that he did not want to reincarnate again into this world. "Everything that is happening worldwide is so horrible," he mentioned, referring also to the extent of the persecution of Falun Dafa.
A Vietnamese woman read the information on the flyer briefly, but already knew about it and explained it her daughter. They both signed the petitions and sincerely wished the practitioners continued success.
Interested passersby learned the truth about the persecution and were grateful that practitioners were informing people about these important issues.
