After Daughter’s Arrest, Elderly Mother Must Beg on the Street to Support Two Grandchildren

Sept. 13, 2015 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Heilongjiang Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Shi Yinxue was illegally arrested in June 2015 due to her belief in Falun Gong. Her elderly mother now must look after her two children, as well as her mentally disabled younger sister. Due to economic difficulties and no place to stay, her mother is desperate and has no choice but to beg on the street in Qinggang County with her two grandchildren.

Ms. Shi, Ms. Wang Caiyun, and Ms. Zhuang Jingyuan went to distribute Falun Gong flyers on June 9, 2015. He Zhimin and other officers from the Xincun Town Police Station arrested the three practitioners. Ms. Shi was still being detained in the Qinggang County Detention Center as of late August. The other two practitioners were transferred to Suihua City.

Ms. Shi’s husband, Mr. Ji Baoshan, also a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested in January 2009 and sentenced to a five-year prison term. While incarcerated in Hulan Prison, Mr. Ji died due to torture on March 16, 2010. Ms. Shi works as a shoe repairer to raise her two children.

Ms. Shi’s younger sister was arrested in 2001 for practicing Falun Gong. Soon after being imprisoned, she suffered a mental collapse, and now has a mental disorder, due to being persecuted.
