My Troublemaking Sister Totally Changed

Sept. 17, 2015 |   By a family member of practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) My sister was the one my parents worried about the most. Her nickname was “Wild Horse.” She was naughty, rebellious, and often got into fights. That is until, in one night, she changed dramatically.

In the spring of 1998, my sister came home with a book and immediately started to read it in her room. The next morning when we saw her, she was like another person, with soft eyes and a kind face. She said, “I will practice Falun Gong. I cannot do bad things anymore. Instead, I'll follow Master Li Hongzhi to return to my original home.”

We were skeptical at the first, but my sister did follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. From how much she changed, we could tell how good Falun Dafa was. She told us that Master asked her to be a good person and to be good to others and to society.

It was so amazing how one book could totally change a person. Because of her, our whole family was interested in the book Zhuan Falun, and we sometimes read it, too.

My parents were very happy they could finally enjoy a peaceful life without having to put out fires for my sister all the time.

I also benefited by following the principles and by reciting “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Since 1998, my husband, our child, and I have been in good health. Our child recites those phrases every day and his life has gone well. How wonderful it would be if everyone believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

My sister, however, was once arrested for telling people that the Chinese Communist Party is wrong to persecute Falun Gong – a practice that changed her into a better person. Even though I am not a practitioner yet, I support my sister's endeavor to spread the goodness of Falun Gong. After all, our family has benefited tremendously from Falun Gong, and it is also my hope that many more people get to appreciate the practice.
