(Minghui.org) Columbia University's annual Student Activities Day was held on the school's main campus in New York City on September 11, 2015. Booths and displays stretched from Low Plaza to Butler Library.
More than 300 student organizations, including the Falun Dafa Club, participated in this event to welcome new students to join their groups. Dozens of students and teachers left their contact information and expressed a desire to learn Falun Gong.

The Falun Dafa Club displayed informational materials in both English and Chinese. Many people stopped to study the photos showing Falun Dafa practitioners all over the world doing the exercises together.
Some students had heard of the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda defaming Falun Dafa. One student asked, “Is this a political organization?” A practitioner explained that Falun Dafa has no political agenda and why the CCP persecutes its practitioners.
Many Chinese students were surprised to see the Falun Dafa Club at the event and took photos. A few of them appeared to be curious but wouldn't get close to the table.
When a practitioner walked over and gave them flyers, one asked, “Why did Falun Dafa practitioners immolate themselves?” The practitioner explained that the CCP had staged the "self-immolation" incident on Tiananmen Square in 2001 to make people fearful of Falun Dafa and justify the persecution of innocent practitioners.
Many people had a chance to learn that practicing Falun Dafa is great for health and fitness and left their contact information to learn it.
