(Minghui.org) Since October 2015, 2,648 Zhaoyuan City residents signed letters to show their support for lawsuits against former dictator Jiang Zemin for his role in persecuting Falun Dafa. The letters were submitted and accepted by the Chinese Supreme People's Procuratorate. The most recent letter of complaint was signed by 795 non-practitioners.

Below are statements from some of the residents who signed.
A vegetable vendor said, “Jiang Zemin has done nothing right! I'm signing my name to complain about him. Falun Dafa practitioners are good people. Please give me a copy of Zhuan Falun. I'd like to read it.”
When an elderly man was asked if he wanted to sign the letter, he responded, “Falun Dafa is truly an upright practice. I had colon rectal cancer. Had I not recited 'Falun Dafa is good,' I would probably be dead by now. Jiang Zemin is a rotten man, I want to report him. I will testify against his wrongdoings.”
An 80-year-old farmer declared, “I know the information on the pamphlet about Falun Dafa is the truth. Jiang Zemin has committed a serious crime against practitioners, and he should be placed on trial. I'm signing my name to support Falun Dafa, and I will speak up for practitioners on judgment day.”
As soon as he heard about the lawsuit, one young man said with emotion, “I will sign! I will sign ten times if you need it! I hope practitioners win the lawsuit.”
Seven hundred and ninety-five non-practitioners signed the most recent complaint letter. The following is an excerpt of the letter that was sent to the Chinese Supreme People's Procuratorate:
“Jiang Zemin has deceived people and led them to hate Falun Dafa. Jiang utilized the media and the police to create the 'Tiananmen Self-Immolation Hoax' to slander Falun Dafa.
“Jiang also sanctioned the forced organ harvesting from practitioners. In September 2014, a senior Chinese official confirmed that Jiang was directly involved. According to a secret phone recording, the former PLA General Logistics Department of Health Minister, Bai Shuzhong, said, 'It was President Jiang who instructed us to carry out the forced organ harvest...'”
In their complaint letters Zhaoyuan residents wrote, “Jiang Zemin is not human. He abused his power, wrecked the country, and ruined people's lives. We were deceived by his lies. We want to report him.”
“I hope the Supreme People's Procuratorate will deliver justice and punish Jiang accordingly. Only when the Supreme People's Procuratorate rules China according to the law, will people live in peace and prosperity,” another resident wrote.
Background
In 1999 Jiang Zemin, then head of the CCP, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Dafa. The persecution has killed countless Dafa practitioners over the past 16 years. Many have been murdered for their organs. Others have been imprisoned and tortured for their belief. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of this brutal persecution.
Under Jiang's direction, the CCP established an extralegal security force – the 610 Office, with the power to override the police and judicial systems. The 610 Office carries out Jiang's directives to eradicate Falun Gong: ruin practitioners' reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Jiang stepped down as head of the CCP in 2002, but he has exerted much power from the shadows through a network of officials he put in power.
Chinese law now allows citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
