Police Officers Reluctant to Arrest Practitioners for Suing Jiang Zemin

Jan. 2, 2016 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China

(Minghui.org) A number of police officers in our area are becoming reluctant to arrest Falun Gong practitioners who file criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime, for launching the persecution of this cultivation practice. The following incidents took place in November and December 2015.

Six Officers Leave the Home of a Practitioner

Six policemen went to the house of a practitioner in Xiaohe District, Changzhou City, to investigate her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Undeterred, the practitioner continued cooking porridge and talked about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong.

The officers still acted as if they were going to arrest her. The practitioner was not afraid and said if she dared to sue Jiang Zemin, she would sue them as well. Then she asked them to write down their names.

Still stirring the porridge, she turned around. The officers were nowhere in sight.

A 610 Officer Leaves Empty-handed

A 610 Office officer in Changzhou and several policemen came to the home of a practitioner. After listening to the practitioner talk about the goodness of Falun Gong, he still made a move to take this practitioner to the 610 Office brainwashing center.

The practitioner's family member grabbed the officer's shirt to stop him, and the rest of the policemen retreated to the hallway, except for one policeman who stayed with the officer.

The 610 Office officer asked the family member to let go of his shirt. Then, he and the policeman stepped out of the house. Nevertheless, he was unwilling to give up and wanted the family member to sign a document to prove that he had “visited” them.

The family member refused to sign the document, and the officers had no choice but to leave.

“Don't Go! It's Illegal”

A practitioner overheard a conversation between two policemen and two community staff in Changzhou.

One of policemen said to the other, “Don't go! It's illegal. They say that so-and-so is a traitor (referring to Jiang Zemin) who has committed crimes against humanity. The group that is being persecuted is innocent. If we try to arrest them, we would be the ones assisting in committing a crime.”

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
