(Minghui.org) I began to practice Falun Dafa in 1992 when I was a college professor. Many things have happened since then and I'd like to share some of my experiences.
Extraordinary Experiences
I have had severe bowel disease since I was very young, I often had problems eating and drinking. Migraines and hay fever made things even worse, and neither Western medicine nor Chinese medicine could cure my illnesses. As a result, I tried various types of qigong since 1980, attending workshops and reading qigong books.
My small heavenly circuit opened after about 10 years, followed by the great heavenly circuit. I was also able to see other dimensions through the celestial eye. When I tried to advance in my practice, however, few qigong masters could help me and I was very frustrated.
I attended the third lecture series of Mr. Li Hongzhi in Beijing in August 1992. From the first day, I could feel Falun rotating in my chest and abdomen as well as on my head. I felt it even stronger when I did the second set of exercises. Noticing Master's teaching was unique and profound, I always arrived at the classroom half an hour early to make sure I wouldn't miss a thing.
There was then a memorable moment on the 9th day of the lecture. Right as I listened to Master's Fa attentively, I saw Master's physical body become golden and shiny, like a Buddha statue. His lips moved as he spoke and the voice was normal. I thought that what I was seeing was an illusion, I looked again and was able to see whether my naked eyes were open or closed. With tears in my eyes, I knew Master is not an everyday person and made up my mind to follow him forever.
More Phenomena
I attended Master's lecture series in several cities, about a dozen in all. Every time I listened attentively and I always had new understandings.
I improved my xinxing according to the standards of the Fa and let go of my attachments to fame and material interests. For example, many coworkers at my job were given employer-sponsored apartments based on rank and years of service. But whenever it was my turn, something unexpected would happen. Similar things also occurred with promotions. Master's words really struck me:
“...as a practitioner should follow the course of nature. If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it.” Zhuan Falun
I did not pay attention to these things and just let them be.
Besides my workplace, tests also manifested with my family, friends and other practitioners. Most of the time, I was able to follow the Fa and handled them as a practitioner.
I later experienced “The Placement of the Mysterious Pass”, “three flowers gathering above the head (sanhua juding)”, and the Cultivated Infant (yinghai) as Master described in Zhuan Falun. I was not attached to them and focused on improving my xinxing.
Family Environment
My wife and I used to argue a lot. She did not think before speaking, which often offended me and made me angry. This happened so often that both of us got used to it. One day after I began to practice, she said some bad things to me. Right as I was about to get enraged, I remembered that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and my heart calmed down. I knew Master had helped me eliminate the substance in other dimensions.
I found many other practitioners also having similar situations as me, that is, encountering conflicts in the family. Some practitioners did not pay much attention to this and didn't handle it well. My understanding is that, we should really consider ourselves as genuine practitioners, follow the Fa's principles, and solidly improve our xinxing.
Above are some of the supernatural things I have experienced and there are many more. As long as we are determined in cultivation, we will be able to do well and not be fearful of the persecution.
