Officers said that the arrests were made to fill the quota assigned to them. They told the practitioners' families that they would be released in two weeks.

The practitioners were held in the Changchun No. 2 Detention Center.

All three practitioners' homes were ransacked, and Falun Gong books and other related materials were confiscated.

She was paroled on December 31, 2011.

Ms. Li Guiying, 49, was previously incarcerated in a forced labor camp for one and a half years and then held in a brainwashing center for a few months.
