In China, the communist regime's 17-year persecution of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) has been accompanied by a well-orchestrated campaign of slander and negative propaganda. As a result, many Chinese people do not understand Falun Gong, nor do they know that the practice is based upon the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Their misperceptions melt away, however, when they see the principles in action.
A woman in Beijing recalls how she came to learn Falun Gong, live by its teachings of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and demonstrate these values in her varied jobs as a nanny, an instructor, and a company manager. After seeing how her health and character both improved through the practice, many of her friends, family members, and colleagues also decided to learn Falun Gong.
