(Minghui.org) Two residents of Wenshang County in China’s Shandong Province were sentenced to prison for spreading information about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline persecuted by the communist regime.

Ms. Cao Lihua and Ms. Xiu Qing were arrested on May 29, 2016 and tried in October. Ms. Cao was given 1.5 years and Ms. Xiu 1 year.

Both women remain at Jining City Detention Center at the time of writing. Their families are struggling to live a normal life.

Ms. Cao’s son, a 9^th grader, has to live with his uncle.

Ms. Xiu’s two daughters, one of them a high-school senior facing a college entrance exam, are left home to fend for themselves.
