Mr. Wang Guangwei's Family Deprived of Visitation Rights in Prison

Feb. 4, 2016 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Guangwei's older brother went to the Shandong Prison to see him on January 22, 2016, but was refused by the guards because Mr. Wang wouldn't give up his belief in Falun Gong.

Mr. Wang was sentenced to five and a half years in prison in 2012 for putting up posters for Shen Yun, a performing arts show that promotes traditional Chinese culture.

Mr. Wang's older brother had to get up at 2 a.m. to get ready for a 190-mile trip by taxi to the prison. It was a cold and snowy day.

When he arrived at the prison, guards would not allow him to see his brother. He learned that his brother was put in solitary confinement as punishment for not giving up his faith in Falun Gong.

Mr. Wang's brother returned home very disappointed.

His brother could only visit Mr. Wang once a year, as the journey cost a lot of money. Unfortunately, he was deprived of the only opportunity to see his brother.
