(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Hua Wanlai Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Hua Wanlai was recently sentenced to a one-and-a-half-year prison term by the Shunyi Court.

He was arrested in July 2015, for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was released on bail in August 2015.

2. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Mr. Li Hongwei Arrested

Mr. Li Hongwei was arrested on February 28, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was transferred to the local Domestic Security Division.

3. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yue Arrested

Ms. Liu Yue was arrested by police officers from the Jindouying Town Police Station on February 26, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. She was taken to the Liaocheng Detention Center.

4. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Sentenced and Detained

Mr. Yan Musen, Ms. Li Hui, Mr. Sun Yuanlong, and Mr. Chen Yulei, arrested on February 26, 2014, are still detained in the Haidian Detention Center.

In early February 2016, they were sentenced by the Haidian Court: Ms. Li to a three-and-a-half-year prison term and the other practitioners to a four year prison term.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Yulan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yulan, 63, was arrested and taken to local police station on March 2, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released in the evening.

6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guilian in Police Custody

Ms. Li Guilian was arrested by officers from the Wenren Township Government on March 3, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in a police station.

7. [Chuxiong Yi Minority Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Yinzhen was arrested by officers from the Dongchuan Town Police Station in Yaoan County on February 24, 2016. She was detained in the Chuxiong Prefecture Detention Center.

Ms. Luo Jufen, Ms. Liu's niece, and Ms. Jin Zhimei went to Yaoan County to see Ms. Liu on February 28, 2016. They were arrested and taken to the Dongchuan Town Police Station. They were released.

8. [Chongqing] Mr. Chen Fumin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Chen Fumin, arrested on March 1, is detained in the Jiangjin Brainwashing Center.

9. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Gao Jiaqu, Ms. Huang Yindi, and Ms. Zhong were arrested by police officers from the local police station on February 29, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained in the Jiujiang City Detention Center.

10. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Five practitioners, detained in the Jiyuan City Detention Center, were sentenced on February 16, 2016. They are: Ms. Wang Dongling to five years in prison, Mr. Li Bingling to four years, Ms. Chang Lihua to three-and-a-half years, Mr. Yin Libo to three years, and Mr. Zhou Ziyang to two years. All of them have appealed with the Intermediate Court

11. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Gao Hui, Mr. Tang Zhongzhen, and Ms. Li Yanjiao were arrested at home on March 1, 2016. Ms. Gao and Ms. Li were detained for 15 days.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Four Elderly Practitioners Arrested

Four elderly practitioners were arrested by officers from the Jianghanerqiao Police Station on March 3, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are 75 year old Ms. Fan, 78 year old Ms. Zhao, 69 year old Ms. Wang, and 60 year old Ms. Du.

13. [Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xu Jiying Detained

Mr. Xu Jiying was arrested by Li Yunbo and Wang Xiaoli from the Keshan Farm Police Department on March 3, 2016, for talking to officers at that police department about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to the Chahayang Detention Center.

14. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Hou Jinlu's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Hou Jinlu, who worked on odd jobs in another province, was arrested and taken back to his hometown Baoji City on February 26, 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Liu Jin Sentenced and Ms. Li Duofang Arrested

Mr. Liu Jin and his wife Ms. Li Duofang were arrested in August 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Ms. Li was released in early February 2016. Mr. Liu was sentenced to a two year prison term. He is detained in the Fengtai County Detention Center.

16. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Shixiang and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Sun Shixiang and her husband were arrested on March 2, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked their home.

17. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shanmei Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shanmei was arrested and had her home ransacked on March 4, 2016.

18. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Xue Zenglong Detained

Mr. Xue Zenglong was arrested by officers from the Dachang Police Station on March 2, 2016, for having informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in his car. He is detained in the Bazhou City Detention Center.
