(Minghui.org) Many Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested between July and December 2015, and six were detained. Those detained are either elderly or disabled. Practitioners in the area are concerned about their health condition.
The six practitioners are Mr. Cong Qiuli, Ms. Zhong Weiling, Ms. Zhang Guili, Ms. Zhang Hui, Mr. Zhong Chongbing, and Jiao Jiaqian. Most of those who were arrested had filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.
Mr. Cong developed a number of illness symptoms during his detention. Prior to being detained, he was very healthy as a result of practicing Falun Gong.
Ms. Zhong Weiling has been detained since November 15, 2015. Her health declined and she was in critical condition several times while being interrogated by the police. When the weather became cold, she was deprived of warm clothing and shoes. As a result, her health deteriorated and she suffered illness symptoms. She also developed diabetes.
Ms. Zhang Guili has been detained since December 17, 2015. The guards tortured her to extort a confession. They also rewarded inmates for torturing her.
Ms. Zhang Hui was tortured and is experiencing hearing problems.
Mr. Zhong Chongbing is handicapped. His leg was injured when he was detained in 2001.
