(Minghui.org) Several practitioners have filed lawsuits since May, 2015 against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong. Local communities showed their support by signing petitions. These activities are important because they help raise awareness of the persecution.
However, a different signature drive recently began circulating in my area, which requested materials be submitted to the Supreme Procuratorate. It was said this paperwork would be given to close family members of Supreme Procuratorate officials. Many practitioners have participated in this and provided their detailed contact information.
We do not know where this came from, but it is very suspicious. Master did not teach us to spread rumors or follow them. We should not fall into a potential trap just because the request is said to come from top Chinese officials or their family members.
In “Definitive Conclusion” of Essentials for Further Advancement, Master wrote, “You should never do what I don’t allow you to. The desire to show off plus the attachment of zealotry are most easily exploited by the demonic part of your mind.”
Through the years, people have attempted to undermine the Fa using prophecy, lectures, or fund-raising. Communist Party spies have also actively caused trouble through certain websites that defame Master and the Fa. The reason these issues exist could well be that some practitioners have strong egos and they tend to show off.
We need to cultivate solidly and not spread or follow rumors. We should always use the Fa as our guide instead of following others; otherwise, the consequences could be very serious.
