(Minghui.org) I was not a diligent Falun Dafa practitioner. I used to doze off while studying the Fa and sending righteous thoughts. Consequently, I did not get much out of my Fa study, and my righteous thoughts were not strong. Old forces took advantage of these loopholes to interrupt my cultivation.
The local police broke into my home, confiscated all my Dafa books, and illegally arrested me. My husband had to pay more than 10,000 yuan to get me released.
Awakened by this incident, I decided to improve my cultivation. I started to hand copy and recite Zhuan Falun, the main book of the practice.
Cultivating Like a Beginner
I copied the entire book twice in six months. I then started to memorize the book on December 25, 2008.
It is essential to keep the mind calm while memorizing the book. I first read one paragraph and then repeated it until I could recite it from memory. I did it one paragraph at a time. It took me two and a half months to complete the whole book.
As I did this, I experienced the same feelings of excitement and energy that I had when I first started to cultivate. I recited the book whenever I had free time. When I recite it now, I no longer have an attitude of just going through the motions.
It has been almost eight years, and I cannot count how many times I have recited it. Now when I read, every word and punctuation in the book glows! I know that Master is encouraging me.
The feeling of reciting the Dafa books is mysterious and profound. It is beyond description.
Dafa Is Miraculous
When Hong Yin IV was published, only limited copies were available in our area. I diligently hand copied it. Miraculously, every word I copied glowed with white light.
It is Master who has saved us. We must cherish this unprecedented opportunity to cultivate ourselves well and save sentient beings.
