(Minghui.org) A recent editorial article from Minghui called for submissions to commemorate the upcoming World Falun Dafa Day 2016. When I heard that few practitioners had sent submissions and with the due date, April 13, fast approaching, I would like to share my thoughts.
Because we are practitioners, Falun Dafa Day is a special occasion for us. We should take this opportunity to validate the Fa and tell people how wonderful and extraordinary Falun Dafa is. By writing down our cultivation stories and letting people know how great Dafa and Master is, people in the future will have a record of our cultivation.
Help from Master
Some practitioners are concerned about their writing skills, some say they have not cultivated well enough or do not have time. In “Gaining the Fa” in Hong Yin, Master said, “Cultivate Dafa with all your heart, Nothing could be more important.” In Zhuan Falun, Master also said, “Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.”
My feeling is that as long as we are willing to write these articles, Master will help us.
My Experience
As a 62-year-old peasant living in the countryside, I did not receive much education. Because I feel that we are very fortunate to practice Falun Dafa and Master has given us so much, I decided to participate by writing an article. I was not worried about my writing skills. The bottom line is, I will do my best to contribute.
I began to submit articles in 2010 and Master always helps me. While I write these articles, I hope that my stories can help people have a better understanding of Falun Dafa and be saved. In the process of writing I'm very moved by Master's compassion and I'm in tears. I know that writing these articles is one way for me to thank Master and thank Falun Dafa. As a result, the words naturally flow.
With help from Master and an understanding of the significance of writing them, all three articles I submitted between 2013 and 2015 were published in Minghui Weekly. I also submitted one article for this year, and helped more than 10 practitioners write and submit their articles.
A Process of Purification
Every year after submitting an article for World Falun Dafa Day, I can feel my cultivation improve. My dimension becomes purer and I become more diligent.
At the end of last year I began to feel sleepy when I studied the Fa. Sometimes during group Fa-study, I even read words that were not in Zhuan Falun. I didn't notice I was doing this until another practitioner pointed it out to me—which really surprised me. I also began to doze off when sending forth righteous thoughts and my palm was not straight. I tried various approaches to change this, but could not.
As soon as I began preparing the submission for this year's Falun Dafa Day, my mind became clear. After I sent the article, I suddenly did much better in studying the Fa, doing the exercises, and sending forth righteous thoughts.
Master has sacrificed so much to purify us, save us, and help us return to our origins. It's a great honor to be Dafa particles that are assimilating to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Let us cherish this opportunity and write our stories, to validate the Fa and save more people.
