(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 22 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 were illegal arrested.

1. [Guyuan City, Ningxia] Ms. Yan Lanjiang Detained

Ms. Yan Lanjiang from Xiji County was arrested on March 15, 2016, by Yang Fuchun from the Yuanzhou District Domestic Security Division in Guyuan City and other officers. She is held in the Guyuan City Detention Center.

Ms. Yan and Ms. Ma Pingru, Ms. Wang Junrui, and Ms. Zhang Lianhua from Xiji Country were arrested eight times during the past year.

2. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Lin Xiuqin and Ms. Wang Yuxian of Shangjiahe Town were arrested on the morning of April 11, 2016, for telling people about Falun Gong in Baihua Village, Tangtu Township, Fu County. They were taken to the Nangou Detention Center, Fushun City, that afternoon.

3. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Cai Jinrong Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Cai Jinrong and Ms. Xiao Yanping were arrested in Ms. Xiao's home on the morning of February 26, 2016, by more than a half dozen officers from the Hanzhong City Domestic Security Division. The officers ransacked Ms. Xiao's home and took the two women to the Nanzheng County Police Department.

Ms. Cai was taken back to Baoji City by officers from the Baoji Domestic Security office. Her whereabouts is unknown.

Ms. Xiao was detained for 36 days and released on March 30, 2016.

4. [Shengyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Gangli Forced into Hard Labor in Prison

Ms. Liu Gangli has been incarcerated in the Liaoning Women's Prison since November 2015. After four months, she was assigned to the No. 5 Ward, where she was forced to work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

5. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Eight Practitioners Detained

Eight practitioners were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Dehui City Police Department on April 9 and 10, 2016, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

They are Ms. Zhan Xiuhua, Mr. Liu Fanrong, Ms. Wang Cuihua, Ms. Wu Jinying, Cheng (first name and gender are unknown), Ms. Wang Xingxiang, Ms. Xie Guixiang, and Wang (first name and gender are unknown). The are held in the Dehui Detention Center.

6. [Shengyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Han Ying Tried

Ms. Han Ying's family and her lawyer were notified by the Shenyang City Economy Zone Court on April 11, 2016, that she would be tried on April 13, 2016.

Ms. Han was arrested at home on November 9, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, for initiating and directing the persecution of Falun Gong since 1999. She is held in the Shengyang City No. 1 Detention Center.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Hongju Tried

Ms. Zhang Hongju was tried on the morning of April 13, 2016

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Zongcai Arrested

Ms. Gao Zongcai was arrested and taken to the Dayu Police Station on the morning of March 29, 2016, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

The police got her son's name from her senior travel card and forced him to open her home. They ransacked it and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials. She was released the same day.

9. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Meng Xiaojing Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Meng Xiaojing was told to to to the Huaiyin District Court on December 17, 2015. When she got there, she was arrested and taken to a detention center. She was secretly tried the next day. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison on March 22, 2016. She is imprisoned in a detention center.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Xinfang Detained

Ms. Shi Xinfang of Zhanger Village was arrested and taken to the Dongjia Police Station on March 28, 2016. Three police officers from the station took photos at her home, then questioned her about the criminal complaints she filed against Jiang Zemin. She was released afterwards.

An officer from the station called and told her to come to the station on the morning of March 30. Ms. Shi went to the station on the afternoon of March 31. She was arrested and held for seven days in the Jinan No. 3 Detention Center.

11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhao Jinqi Repeatedly Harassed

Mr. Zhao Jinqi of Xuefu Neighborhood Community, Tianfu Town in the Wenjiang District, has been repeatedly harassed and threatened by agents from the Xuefu Neighborhood Community after he filed legal complaints against Jiang Zemin. Agents from the Tianfu Town 610 Office questioned him and forced him to sign some forms because he had sued Jiang Zemin.

12. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Jinhua, Ms. Chen Guanglan, and Ms. Ren Sushan were arrested around March 3, 2016, by Xinsheng Police Station officers.

13. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ye Huiqun Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Ye Huiqun was taken to a brainwashing center on April 8, 2016.

14. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Mr. Meng Xianzhen and Ms Zhang Guizhi Tried

Ms. Meng Xianzhen and Ms. Zhang Guizhi were arrested in December 2014 in Zhuanji Town, Jieshou City, for telling people about the persecution.

Officer Zeng Guang from the Jieshou City Domestic Security Division and deputy director Huang Donglin from the Zhuanji Police Station were among the arresting officers.

The women were held in the Jieshou City Detention Center and later transferred to the Fuyang City Detention Center. They were tried in the Jieshou City Court on April 14, 2016.

15. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Chengzhong Detained

Mr. Zhao Chengzhong was arrested on April 6, 2016, by officers from the Heping Police Station. He has been held in the Fujia Detention Center.

16. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yan Detained

Ms. Li Yan was arrested on the morning of March 22, 2015, by officers from the Yangzai Police Station in the Zichuan District. She has been held in the Fujia Detention Center in the Zhangdian District.

When her husband, Mr. Shi Xisheng, and her son, Mr. Shi Huyue, appealed for her release, they were also detained. Mr. Shi Xisheng has been held in a detention center since then. Mr. Shi Huyue was detained for 10 days.

17. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Guirong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guirong of the Huayuan Neighborhood in the Kuiwen District was arrested on September 29, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin by officers from the Xinhualu Police Station. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and informational materials. They took her to a detention center but released her when she did not pass the physical exam.

18. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Peiling Arrested, and Two Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Song Peiling was taken to a detention center on March 31, 2016, by Li Jinghong, director of the Binhe Township Security Office, and half a dozen officers from the Debiao Police Station.

Her door was locked, so the police jumped over the wall and broke into her home. They ransacked it and confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong.

The officers then broke into the homes of Ms. Wang Guifang and another practitioner. Ms. Wang was away from home. They ransacked her home and confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong.

19. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhao Ke Detained

Mr. Zhao Ke of Xiaotian Village, Baigutun Town, the Wuqing District, was arrested by officers from the Gao Village Police Station on the morning of April 11, 2016, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Gao Village Flea Market. He was taken to the Wuqing District Detention Center that afternoon.

20. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chang Xiurong, in her 70s, lives in the Erqi District. She was arrested on the morning of April 10, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her printer, computer, and Falun Gong informational materials.

Mr. Zhang and his wife were arrested the same day. Their home was ransacked, and the police confiscated a computer, printer, and other personal items.

21. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Shuoxian Detained

Ms. Wang Shuoxian has been held in the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center since April 1, 2016.

22. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Shuoying, Mr. Feng Youfu, and Mr. Guo Ruiping were arrested between the end of March and the beginning of April 2016. They are held in the Anyang City Detention Center and Linzhou Detention Center.

Director of the Guilin Police Station Yang Zengfa ransacked Mr. Feng's home on the morning of April 7, 2016, and confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, printer, a bank deposit book, his identification card, door curtains, and other items.

23. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Lian Bo and Wife Detained

Mr. Lian Bo was arrested when he arrived at his shop on the morning of March 22, 2016. Officers from the Hutian Town Police Station in the Zhangdian District ransacked his shop and confiscated two computers, a printer, two USB drives, and Falun Gong books. They also broke into his safety deposit box. He is held in the Fujia Detention Center.

His wife, Ms. Bi Zhongmei, was arrested that afternoon by Zhangdian Police Station officers when she was taking care of her paraplegic father-in-law in the hospital. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her MP3 player, currency, and Falun Gong books. She was detained 24 hours in the Gongyuan Police Station and then given 15 days of detention.

Mr. Lian's mother was repeatedly arrested for appealing for justice for Falun Gong. She suffers from a mental disorder because she was injected twice with anti-psychotic drugs in a forced labor camp. She in an invalid and cannot take care of herself.
