(Minghui.org) A Falun Dafa practitioner recently shared his experiences of how he talked to people about Falun Dafa, and how police have changed their attitude towards practitioners.
He traveled to 12 neighboring villages and gave out thousands of informational material packages over the past few years.
When he was stopped by police, he dissolved their hostility with his friendliness. As a result, many police officers learned the facts about Falun Dafa and became friends with him.
Along with other practitioners, his ceaseless efforts have been rewarded by a declining motivation among the local police force to curtail practitioners' efforts when talking to people about Falun Dafa.
Police Chief: Why Not Distribute Your Materials During the Daytime?
I was detained by police when I was on my way to distribute informational materials about Falun Dafa.
To my surprise, the police chief at the police station did not interrogate me. Instead he said: “Where there are Falun Dafa practitioners, there is peace.
He then said: “Why do you give out your materials at night? Why not do it during the daytime?”
He continued, “You know I am studying some Chinese classics, very traditional stuff.” I appreciated his interests in the Chinese traditional culture, when he signaled me that I could leave.
The next day I brought him some informational materials during the daytime.
Officer Watched Us Leave the Police Station
A police officer arrested me for giving out Dafa materials with another practitioner. The officers cuffed us to a bed at the police station.
I asked the police chief if he had read any Falun Dafa informational materials. He admitted he had.
I said: “Then why do you continue to do harm to yourself by bringing us here?” He said, maliciously: “I am helping you. You can make use of this tribulation to upgrade your level in Falun Dafa, can’t you?”
My grudge grew larger as my wrists began to swell from the cutting handcuffs, but I soon regained my sympathy for the officers when I realized they were actually victimizing themselves by making me suffer.
We were released at 6 p.m. Prior to leaving I showed the officer my swollen wrists: “This is what you have done to me. I will publish it on the Internet.”
He was astonished: “What? Internet? I will not let you go.” Meanwhile he told another officer to bring the other practitioner back.
I said in a dignified manner: “Relax. Stop fussing around. This is much ado about nothing.”
Tongue tied, he watched us leave the police station.
Police Left with Informational Materials and Smiles
I was observed by police when I was putting up informational posters at a fair, which was attended by many people, in March 2016.
They sounded the horn in their car behind my car until I pulled over. They recognized me when I got out of my car.
“Ha! You, again!” An officer yelled: “Look how many posters you have posted. Will you ever stop doing so?” Meanwhile, he looked in my van and was astonished by the piles of materials in it. “You will go with us to the police station.” he said.
I said: “You will not do that. The setting sun is calling you to go home.” He asked: “Anything else in your car?”
“Some informational DVDs about Falun Dafa. You should watch them.” I said. They then took the DVDs and left in their car with broad smiles on their faces.
Deputy Police Chief: “Any MP3 Player for Me?”
I once gave informational materials to the security personnel of the village. They refused the materials and reported me to the police.
When the police came, they told me that I had dishonored my family by continuing to spread the facts about Falun Dafa. I said: “This is an honorable thing to do.” They then left in their car.
I then turned to the security personnel behind me, who seemed too embarrassed to admit they reported me to the police. They finally took the informational materials from me, and one of them asked me to help him quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
I later brought the police chief an MP3 player with Falun Dafa stories on it. He was on a phone call in his office, so I put it on his desk and left.
I went to see them again in the afternoon to complete some of my personal things from the morning, when the deputy chief complained to me: “You gave the chief an MP3 player. Is there any for me?”
At that time the chief came to me and said: “Good job. You have upgraded to using electronic devices, adopting advanced technology.” Pointing to the deputy chief, he added: “It would be most appreciated if he can have one from you, too.”
I promised him I would bring him one next time I visited them.
Before I left, I heard the chief say: “It is truly admirable, to be a good person!”
Police Let Me Go
I drove with other practitioners to a town far from my home last autumn. A police car stopped right behind us when we were posting Dafa information on a pole between the town government and the police station.
They asked us what we were doing. “We are Falun Dafa practitioners. We are all good people.” we replied. They then brought us to the police station.
A police officer asked us where we were from and who we were. To confirm my name, he called the police station in my town. He called me 'comrade' after he confirmed my identity. I said: “Please do not call me ‘comrade’. It is a title used by the CCP.” He then called me by my surname.
We then talked with him about Falun Dafa. An hour later, he returned the keys to my car and let us go. “I will come to see you again.” I said before leaving.
On our way home we were passed by them. They stopped ahead of us and waited for us. When we came towards them, they broadcasted over a loudspeaker: “Do not come to our town anymore.” We blew our horn back to them.
I revisited them several days later and brought them some local products from my town as a gift.
