(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 24 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Song Sentenced
Mr. Gao Song was tried by the Huanggu Court on July 19, 2016. It was not until July 29 that his family learned he had been sentenced to a one-year prison term and fined 2,000 yuan. He has appealed.
2. [Xuanwei City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Zhao Feiqiong Tried
Ms. Zhao Feiqiong was arrested on December 8, 2015 at Kunming Railway Station, on her way back to Xuanwei. She was tried by the Xuanwei Court on August 2, 2016.
3. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Jikun's Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Zhu Jikun was recently arrested for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party. His whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Lili's Arrest Approved
Ms. Chen Lili's arrest was recently approved.
5. [Ningde City, Fujian Province] Ms. Liu Fengyue Arrested
Ms. Liu Fengyue, 45, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division in mid-July 2016.
6. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Five practitioners were arrested on July 21, 2016, including Mr. Kong Aihua, Mr. Zhang Dongdong, Mr. Zhang Wei, Mr. Qiao Zhenhua, and Ms. Zhang Yunhui.
Mr. Kong is currenlty hospitalized, and the others are being held at the Zhoukou Detention Center.
7. [Chongqing] Ms. Zeng Yaolian Detained
Ms. Zeng Yaolian was arrested by Shiqiaopu Police Station officers on July 24, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.
The next day, the police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, and paper currency with information about Falun Gong on it. Her daughter, who was home at the time, was arrested and taken to the police station to be interrogated.
Ms. Zeng is now in Jiulongpo Detention Center.
8. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Daru Arrested
Mr. Tang Daru was arrested by five plainclothes officers and taken to a local police station on July 30, 2016, for hanging up informational posters about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked his home that evening.
9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Ding Shumei Detained
Ms. Ding Shumei was arrested at home by officers from the Xiyuan Police Station in the Shushan District on July 28, 2016. The police confiscated computers, printers, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. She is being held at the Hefei City Detention Center.
10. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Detained
Ms. Fan Jingzhi and Ms. Ju Guiying were arrested by officers from Huanren County on July 30, 2016, for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. The next day, the police ransacked their homes. They are still being detained.
11. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Meijun Arrested
Ms. Li Meijun was arrested at home by officers from Pingdu City 610 Office on July 26, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, two printers, cell phones, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. She was taken to the Yunshan Town Police Station.
12. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xueli Arrested
Ms. Wang Xueli was arrested at home by four officers from the Tianliu Town Police Station on July 25, 2016. The police confiscated some personal belongings. She was taken to the police station and released an hour later.
13. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lu Chunxia and Her Daughter Arrested
Ms. Lu Chunxia and her two-year-old daughter were arrested in Yongning Village in Fujian Province by officers from the Huangshi Street 610 Office and the local police station on July 29, 2016. They were take back to Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.
Her older sister learned on July 31 that they were being detained in a brainwashing center.

14. [Qi County, Henan Province] Several Practitioners Detained
More than 20 practitioners were arrested on July 20, 2016 by officers from the Qi County 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and local police stations. The information regarding some of the practitioners has been updated:
Ms. Wang Mingmei, Ms. Yang Yuezhi, and Ms. Qin Xuerong from Chaoge Town are being held in Pang Village Detention Center in Hebi City.
Ms. Wang Rongqing, Ms. Dou Mingqing, and Mr. Yue Chaofeng from Xigang Town are detained.
Ms. Zhang Juting is serving her sentence outside the detention center due to high blood pressure.
Ms. Zhang Niu and Ms. Jin Xiaobai from Nihe Village are detained.
Ms. Zhang Qiuye from Dongqiao Village is detained.
15. [Qi County, Henan Province] Ms. Hou Jialing Tried
Ms. Hou Jialing was arrested at home on April 27, 2016, by Huang He and other officers from Qi County Domestic Security Division. The police ransacked her home twice that day.
She was taken to the Kaifeng City Detention Center that day. Her arrest was approved by the Qi County Procuratorate on May 11, and she was tried in the Qi County Court on July 27.

16. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Seven Practitioners Sentenced
Six practitioners were sentenced in the Wuling District Court on July 20, 2016:
Ms. Wang Xiaoqun, Ms. Shi Yuhua, and Ms. Yin Hong were each given four-year prison terms.
Mr. Tao Jinlong got a three-year prison term. He was arrested in September 2015 for rescuing other Falun Gong practitioners, and has since been held in the Baiheshan Detention Center.
Ms. Chen Kaili was sentenced to three years of probation.
Ms. Gao Min was sentenced to one year of probation.
In June 2016, Ms. Zhang Wenlan was sentenced to a two-year prison term by the Wuling District Court without being tried. She was taken to Changsha Women's Prison.
