(Minghui.org) I went to a small village one day in April 2008. I tried to tape a 'Falun Dafa is Good' sticker onto a telephone pole, but it wouldn't stick, even though I tried several times.
As I stood there, trying to figure out why the tape would not work, someone shouted, “Don't do it. It won't work. Don't block the name list. Don't you know what that list is?” I turned my head and saw an elderly man sitting nearby.
When I took a closer look at the pole, I saw that it was covered with names. “It's a list of people who quit the CCP!” I said.
“You know about it, too?” he asked.
“I'm a Falun Gong practitioner. I do know. Who taped it here?”
“I'm not telling you that,” he said. “I don't know who you are.”
I walked over to him and said: “I'm a Falun Gong practitioner. I came a long way to post this sticker.”
I told him my name and phone number, and he soon realized that I was telling the truth. I then asked him for a pen so I could write down the names. There were 108 names in total!
“Who did this? It's so wonderful,” I asked him again.
He thought for a moment and told me what happened.
Not long ago, a college student came to this village to learn about agriculture and he met this elderly man. The man then introduced him to his son, who was the director of the village's agricultural team.
The director let the student stay at his home, and his family liked him very much. The student later told them that he practiced Falun Gong, but had to wander around to avoid the persecution. After they understood why Falun Gong is persecuted, the family was very sympathetic towards him, and he helped them quit the CCP.
The student visited all 54 households in the village to tell people about the communist regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
Everyone in the village, all 108 people, agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations.
Having lost contact with local practitioners, the student did not know how to submit the names of the villagers online, so he posted the names on the telephone pole.
I was so touched by this young student. He did a great job even when he had to wander around. I was also touched by the kindness of this elderly man and his family.
