Ms. Xiong Yulan's Pension Suspended for Suing Jiang Zemin

Jan. 31, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Guangdong Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Xiong Yulan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Guangzhou, has had her pension suspended for filing a lawsuit against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Xiong was interrogated at home on November 22, 2015, by an officer from the Jianshejie Police Station in Guangzhou. The officer left after Ms. Xiong insisted that she was just exercising her legal right.

On the morning of November 28, she was taken to the police station to be interrogated and fingerprinted. She was released around noon and immediately left home to avoid being harassed.

To help the police locate her, the Jianshejie Neighborhood Committee sent out five people to try to find Ms. Xiong. On two occasions, they even visited her younger brother in Hunan Province, which is about 400 miles away. They left a message that Ms. Xiong had to report to their office by June if she wanted to continue receiving her pension.

Aware of the authorities' tactics of deception, Ms. Xiong ignored the message and did not go in person. Instead, she called the office several times.

Ms. Xiong's pension was stopped in August 2016. Since then she has had a very hard time making ends meet. She hopes that those involved will stop persecuting her financially and restore her pension.
