“Who Wants to Deal with This? Let Her Go!”

Nov. 28, 2017 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) A police car blocked Ms. Xu Xiulan as she rode her bicycle through the entrance of Xiaoyu Residential Area on the morning of October 31, 2017. She had just distributed desk calendars with information about Falun Dafa near Gaizhou Ecological Park. An officer from the Dongcheng Police Department wanted her to get into his car, but she refused. She said she wanted to ride her bike home.

The officer called for more officers from the Gulou Police Station in order to force Ms. Xu into the car. An elderly man among the crowd of bystanders said, “Has this old lady killed anyone? Or stolen anything? Why are you arresting her?”

“Why are you treating an elderly woman like this?” another older woman called out. “If people want desk calendars they will take them. If not, they won't. Why would you arrest her?” The officer forced Ms. Xu into his car and took her to Gulou Police Station.

A female officer searched and seized a 115-yuan currency note, on which someone had written information about Falun Dafa, and a list of people who Ms Xu had helped withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. She was helping people to renounce their memberships in the CCP because it persecutes Falun Dafa.

A middle aged male officer said, “Don't you know that Falun Dafa is an evil religion?”

Ms. Xu responded, “Constitutional law states that there are fourteen evil religions, but Falun Dafa isn't listed as one of them. Jiang Zemin began the persecution against Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa teaches people to be good. It is the CCP that is an evil religion. I'm a good person. I was hit by a car, but I didn't ask for compensation. I found a cell phone and returned it to its original owner. I tell people the truth about Falun Dafa so that they won't be deceived by the CCP.”

The male officer asked the others, “Did the officer from Dongcheng Police Department say why she was arrested?” They said that he didn't and just drove away.

A young officer said, “Who wants to deal with this? Let her go!” The male officer let Ms. Xu call her nephew at around 11:00 a.m. Her nephew took her home.
