(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 were illegally arrested.

1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yan Xinyu and Ms. Shen Shuzhen Detained

Mr. Yan Xinyu and Ms. Shen Shuzhen from the Bayuquan District were arrested on the morning of November 13, 2017, by officers from the Shuangtaizi Police Station in Gaizhou City, when they were seen talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Both practitioners were taken to the Yingkou City Detention Center.

2. [Xiaokan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Gangqiang Detained

Mr. Wang Gangqiang from the Dongmafang Residential District in Yingcheng City was arrested by officers from the Silipeng Police Station on the morning of November 7, 2017. His home was ransacked.

Mr. Wang was held in the police station overnight and taken to the Yingcheng Detention Center the next day.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Zhaihua Faces Charges

Mr. Chen Zhaihua's case was set to be heard in the Taihe District Court on the afternoon of November 22, 2017.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Mei Yufen Taken into Custody

Ms. Mei Yufen from the Hongguang Community District, Jinyuan Town, Dayi County, was followed by agents from the community committee when she was distributing calendars with Falun Gong messages on the evening of November 11, 2017.

Ms. Mei was apprehended and taken to a police station.

5. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Shumin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shumin was arrested at home by officers from the Dongchang District Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of November 13, 2017. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Ms. Zhang's whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Libin Detained

Ms. Zhang Libin, 59, from Moerdaoga Town, Erguna City, was arrested by officers from the Mohudian Police Station on the afternoon of October 19, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhang was placed in detention on November 2, 2017, and taken to the Chaoyang Detention Center. When she held a peaceful protest, her teeth were knocked out by detention center director Gao Yaru.

7. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Han Zhongfu Detained

Mr. Han Zhongfu, who works at the Nanyang City Cigarette Manufacturing Company, was arrested on September 29, 2017. He is being held in the Nanyang City Detention Center.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fu Yanfei Persecuted

Ms. Fu Yanfei was arrested by Changchun City Police Department officers in March 2015 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was sentenced to three years in prison and incarcerated in the Eighth Ward in Jilin Province Women's Prison in 2016.

Ms. Fu was transferred to the Tenth Ward in August 2017. When she was seen doing the Falun Gong exercises she was handcuffed and subjected to “strict supervision” and was deprived of family visits.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yali Detained

Ms. Wang Yali from the Shuangcheng District traveled to Hulan Prison to visit her husband on the afternoon of October 19, 2017. She was arrested on a bus when officers checked her ID.

Ms. Wang was taken to the Patrol Unit at the toll booth and was later transferred to the Harbin City Detention Center. She was held there for 15 days.

10. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Xiuyun's Case Submitted to Court

Ms. Xu Xiuyun was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in August 2017. Her case was recently submitted to the Linghe District Court.
