(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Three Practitioners' Appeals Rejected

Ms. Qing Xiuying of Tongzhou District was sentenced to ten years in prison by Tongzhou Court in September 2017. Her attorney informed her son on November 22 that the Tongzhou Intermediate Court rejected her appeal without hearing. Ms. Qing is being held at the Tongzhou Detention Center. It's said that she will soon be taken to the Daxing Women's Prison.

Ms. Xia Hong's and Mr. Li Yeliang's have also been rejected without hearing.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Yihong Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Chen Yihong was sentenced to two years in prison and a 2,000 yuan fine. Her family was informed of this news when the Gaoxin District Court judge phoned them on December 1, 2017.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Shuxian and Mr. Geng Detained

Ms. Zhao Shuxian of Xiangyang Town and Mr. Geng of Yushu City were arrested for telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong on December 1, 2017. Officers from the Yujia Police Station made the arrest. They are being held at the Yushu City Detention Center.

4. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zheng Hua's Arrest Approved

Mr. Zheng Hua was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials by officers from the Anqinglu Police Station and the Luyang Police Department Domestic Security Division on November 2, 2017. The Luyang District Procuratorate approved his arrest last week. Mr. Zheng is being held at the Hefei City Detention Center.

5. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Zhanxiang Arrested

Mr. Ma Zhanxiang was reported and arrested by three officers from the Jinhaozhuang Police Station when he was distributing calendars with Falun Gong messages on November 30, 2017. His cell phone, wallet, and Falun Gong informational materials were confiscated. He was released that night.

6. [Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Mr. Deng Ankun Held at Brainwashing Center

Mr. Deng Ankun, 77, from the Agricultural Fourth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corp, was taken to the Sixty-eight Regiment Brainwashing Center on September 30, 2017 by agents led by Hao Yiping, director of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Sixty-six Regiment. He has been held there for more than two months.

7. [Fukang City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Mr. Li Heping Held at Brainwashing Center

Mr. Li Heping was arrested on November 26, 2015, and was sentenced to two years in prison. He was released on November 24, 2017. Four days later, when he was telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong agents in his community took him to a brainwashing center.

8. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Peng Meirong Being Held at Brainwashing Center

Ms. Peng Meirong, a practitioner from the Huabei Oil Field in Renqiu City, was first held at the Eighth Division of Huabei Oil Field. Around November 28, 2017, he was taken to a newly established brainwashing center in Langfang City.

9. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Aiju Detained

Ms. Wang Aiju was arrested on the night of November 22, 2017 by officer Li Lefu and others from the Hongyanglou Police Station for telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She is being held at the Kaifeng City Detention Center.

10. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jiang Sujuan and Husband Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Jiang Sujuan and her husband from Xiangshan County were sentenced to prison by the Xiangshan County Court. Ms. Jiang was sentenced to six years and fined 12,000 yuan. Her husband was sentenced to three years with four years of probation, and fined 6,000 yuan. The couple was arrested on the afternoon of February 16, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

11. [Wufeng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Bangju Detained

Ms. Zhang Bangju, 55, a practitioner in Changleping Town, was arrested on September 22, 2017 by officers from Wufeng County and the Changleping Police Station. She is being held at the Yichang City Detention Center.

12. [Anhua County, Henan Province] Mr. Chen Xinchu Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Chen Xinchu was sentenced to three years in prison. He is imprisoned in Wangling Prison.

Mr. Hong Sixi was arrested by village officials and taken to the Xiaduopu Town Police Station, when he was telling others about the persecution of Falun Gong on November 26, 2017. He was released about two hours later.

14. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Xiuyun, Mr. Yan Wenjie, Ms. Huang Yazhen, and Ms. Yu Jinfeng were arrested by officers from the Benxi Alkali Factory Police Station when they were talking to others about the persecution of Falun Gong in the factory on November 12, 2017. They were first subjected to 15 days of detention. Mr. Yan, Ms. Huang, and Ms. Yu were transferred to Benxi City Detention Center on November 21, 2017.

15. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Du Hongjun Imprisoned

Mr. Du Hongjun of Huanggu District was sentenced to three years in prison by the Yuhong District Court, but his appeal was denied by the Shenyang City Intermediate Court. Mr. Du was sent to the Xinshou Prison in the Shenyang Prison City on November 15, 2017.

16. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hua Guilan Arrested

Ms. Hua Guilan, 73, was arrested by officers from the Laobian District Police Station when she was distributing calendars with Falun Gong messages on November 30, 2017. Her home was ransacked. She was released around 2:00 a.m. on December 1, 2017.

17. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhi Junying Detained

Ms. Zhi Junying, over 50, was arrested on November 15, 2017 for talking to others about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was detained in the Xinde Detention Center for two weeks, and was released on November 30.

18. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Gou Zhengfeng Lost Consciousness

Ms. Gou Zhengfeng from Daquan Village, Qindu District, fell to the ground and lost consciousness in a brainwashing center on November 18, 2017. She was taken to the Xianyang City No. 1 People's Hospital. But she remains unconscious.

19. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Mingying and Mr. Yao Guocai Arrested

Officers from the Yangming Police Department arrested two practitioners in Hualin Town and ransacked their homes on November 29, 2017. The practitioners were Ms. Wang Mingying, over 50, and Mr. Yao Guocai, over 40. The officers took bank cards from Ms. Wang's home, a hole puncher, Falun Gong books, and other items from Mr. Yao's home.
