Inner Mongolia: Pensions of Eight Retirees Terminated for Suing Former Chinese Dictator

Dec. 29, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Inner Mongolia, China

(Minghui.org) Eight retirees in Guduolun County haven’t seen any money deposited into their social security accounts since June 2016. The local social security bureau refused to provide a reason for the sudden pension suspension.

The eight residents recently learned from insiders that this was retaliation for filing criminal complaints in 2015 against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

These seniors were determined to hold Jiang responsible because no law in China criminalizes Falun Gong and the persecution has been illegal from the onset. The local 610 Office, an extra-legal agency tasked with eradicating Falun Gong and given power to override the judicial system, directed the county government to issue an order terminating pension benefits for retired Falun Gong practitioners who have sued Jiang.

The affected practitioners include:

Xiao Guanglan of Guduolun County Human Resources BureauLi Aizhen of Nuoer Town Community CommitteeYang Shumin of Guduolun County Archive BureauZhou Ruilin of Guduolun County Transportation BureauCao Wanxi of Guduolun County Agriculture and Animal Husbandry BureauYang Yuqin of Guduolun County Health BureauWu Huajun of Guduolun County Power CompanyXu Shulan of Guduolun County Pharmaceutical Company

These seniors have received no formal notice of pension termination, and are struggling to make ends meet.

Insiders Reveal Details of Retaliation Against Practitioners

According to insiders who work in the county government, the retaliation against local Falun Gong practitioners began on March 21, 2016, when Liu Jianjun (then deputy Party secretary and now county executive), along with Yang Yuhai (county police sheriff and vice county executive) issued an order to investigate local practitioners who have filed lawsuits against Jiang. In the next 20 days, police showed up at practitioners’ homes and tried to pressure them into rescinding their lawsuits.

The county government held a meeting on March 26, 2016 to discuss a 610 Office-drafted proposal titled “Regarding the punishment of local Falun Gong practitioners.”

The attendees included: Zhao Hongwei (county Party Secretary), Liu Jianjun, Sai Na (then-county-executive), Zhao Hong (vice county executive), Feng Wenlin (director of local People’s Congress), Gao Zhengang (chair of local People's Political Consultative Conference), Wang Zhixun (secretary of local Political and Legal Affairs Committee), Han Zhanping (director of local organization department), Kong Lingpeng (head of local People's Armed Forces), Liu Xiaomin (head of local propaganda department), Guo Yuzhu (secretary of Discipline Inspection Committee), and Zhang Xintao (chief of staff).

They approved the proposal at the end of the meeting. Weeks later, on April 12, the 610 Office issued the [2016]6 document “Regarding the punishment of local Falun Gong practitioners” for local employers to follow.

Six days later, the 610 Office held a meeting, presided over by Liu Jianjun. Jiang Yusheng (head of 610 Office), Zhang Zhenyu (head of local domestic security office), Yang Yuhai (county police sheriff), and Xu Jinkui (deputy police chief) were among the attendees. They voted unanimously to fire or terminate pension benefits of local Falun Gong practitioners who sued Jiang.

Local employers began terminating their practitioner-employees, citing the 610 Office’s [2016]6 document and its April 18th meeting decision.
