1. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Ms. Shao Xiayun and Daughter Ms. Li Jing Taken to Xinxiang Women's Prison

Ms. Shao Xiayun and her daughter Ms. Li Jing were arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials and suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. The mother and daughter were sentenced to three years and three months, and to three years in prison respectively. They were taken to the Xinxiang Women's Prison on January 23, 2017.

2. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wei Chunrong Given a Two-Year Prison Term

Mr. Wei Chunrong from Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province was tried at the Chengyang Detention Center, Chengyang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, on January 23, 2017. He was sentenced to two years in prison by the Chengyang District Court.

3. [Greater Khingan, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Jingxun Held Over a Year

Mr. Liu Jingxun, 74, from Huzhong District, was arrested at home by officers from the Huzhong District Forestry Bureau's Domestic Security Division on the morning of July 22, 2015 for posting materials about suing Jiang Zemin. His home was ransacked. He was held in the Huzhong Detention Center.

His family received an arrest warrant on August 27, 2015. His retirement pension was suspended. He is held in the Tahe County Detention Center.

4. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Qiuyu and Ms. Fang Yazhen Detained

Ms. Zhang Qiuyu and Ms. Fang Yazhen were arrested on the evening of January 27, 2017 for hanging up Falun Gong materials. Ms. Fang's family learned that they are held in the Tangyuan Area after making inquiries to multiple sources.

5. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Weizong and Mr. Li Bing Detained

Mr. Li Weizong and Mr. Li Bing from Maju Village, Puji Town, were arrested at home by officers from the Zhoucun District Domestic Security Division, Zibo City, and the Wangcun Town Police Station on January 30, 2017. Both practitioners are held in the Zhoucun Detention Center.

6. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Qingyu Harassed

Two people from the Renqiu City Court went to Ms. Zhang Qingyu's home on January 3, 2017 and attempted to arrest her. Ms. Zhang was not at home at the time. The same people went to her son's home to harass him.

Two people who claimed to be from the neighborhood committee went to Ms. Zhang's home again in mid-January to harass her.

7. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Dahei and Mr. Sun Daqi Detained

Mr. Li Dahei and Mr. Sun Daqi from Xin Village, Chenshi Township, were arrested on the evening of January 27, 2017 for posting Falun Gong materials. The police officers confiscated an electric tricycle and a high stool. The officers also ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. They also extorted 500 yuan from Mr. Li. Both practitioners are held in the Shenzhou City Detention Center.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Zhen and Daughter Ms. Liu Meili Arrested

Ms. Wang Zhen and her daughter Ms. Liu Meili from Qingshan District were reported for posting Falun Gong materials on the morning of January 30, 2017.They were arrested and taken to the Hongweilu Police Station. The police officers interrogated them and forced them to sign paperwork. The officers took fingerprints and pictures of them. The practitioners were body searched twice. All the paperwork was turned in directly to the Qingshan District Police Department's Domestic Security Division.

Ms. Liu's husband went to the police station to demand their release. He learned that his wife was taken to the city detention center for 15 days of detention.

9. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhao Manhong Detained

Ms. Zhao Manhong was arrested at a residential community where she lives by officers from the Erhaoqiao Police Station on the morning of December 7, 2016. She was detained in the Hedong District Detention Center. She returned home on January 6, 2017.
