(Minghui.org) Banners and posters about Falun Gong, the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of the spiritual discipline, and efforts to prosecute former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin have recently appeared along the main streets, crossroads, and other public spaces in Hubei, Liaoning, Hebei, Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, and Shandong. Falun Gong practitioners hoped that more people can see the banners around Chinese New Year on January 28, 2017.
Falun Gong was first taught to the public in 1992. Fearing its widespread and fast-growing popularity, Jiang Zemin, former head of the CCP, ordered a campaign on July 20, 1999 to suppress Falun Gong. At least thousands of practitioners have been killed over the past 17 years as a result.
In the face of continued persecution, practitioners use many creative ways to inform the public about Falun Gong and to expose the brutal persecution.
Recently, posters have appeared informing the public about efforts by practitioners to bring Jiang Zemin to justice, charging him with unlawful imprisonment, depriving citizens of their constitutional right to freedom of belief, abuse of power, and other crimes.
