(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 27 were illegally arrested.

1. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Guo Guanghua Detained

Mr. Guo Guanghua, in his sixties, was arrested by officers from the Longshun Police Station on April 13, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Mr. Guo was previously held in the Huainan City Detention Center, and has been sentenced to a forced labor camp several times.

2. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Yuelan Detained

Ms. Li Yuelan was arrested and taken to the Xiaoyaojin Police Station on April 27, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

She was detained for five days, and forcibly given a blood test. Her voice was also recorded. She returned home on May 2.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yu'ai Detained

Ms. Liu Yu'ai from Linqu County had been missing for over 20 days.

It was recently reported that Ms. Liu is being held in the Weifang City Detention Center.

4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Fu Xiuying Arrested

Ms. Fu Xiuying was arrested on May 3, 2017.

5. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Lan Jineng Detained

Three officers from the Huaqiao Town Police Station broke into Mr. Lan Jineng's restaurant on the afternoon of April 24, 2017. They ransacked the place and confiscated his Falun Gong books.

Six officers went to the restaurant the following morning and arrested Mr. Lan.

Mr. Lan's family went to the police station to demand his release on May 1. Officers at the station told them that Mr. Lan was being held in the Wuxue City Detention Center for 15 days.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested; Ms. Wang's Whereabouts Unknown

Two officers and a staff member of the residential committee broke into Mr. Wang Yuanming's home on the afternoon of April 28, 2017.

They arrested Mr. Wang, Ms. Zhu, Ms. Lu, Ms. Qiu, Ms. Xie and Ms. Liang, who are all in their seventies. The practitioners were studying the Falun Gong teachings at the time.

The officers ransacked the place and confiscated all of their Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and paper currency with Falun Gong information printed on it.

Ms. Zhu's home was ransacked at 10:00 p.m. that night.

Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown, but the other five practitioners were released.

7. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Xianping and Ms. Peng Kui Detained

Ms. Wang Xianping and Ms. Peng Kui were arrested by plainclothes officers in the Baisha Neighborhood, Dunzhou District on the morning of April 27, 2017, for distributing DVDs with software to circumvention the Internet censorship. They were taken to the Baisha Police Station.

The practitioners were taken to the Duanzhou Detention Center the following day. Ms. Peng was released five days later. Ms. Wang was placed under criminal detention, and is facing a trial.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yuan Zhengxiu Arrested

Ms. Yuan Zhengxiu from Huayang Town was arrested at the Huayang Market on April 17, 2017. She was taken to a local police station by security officers from the market.

The Falun Gong materials that Ms. Yuan was carrying were confiscated. She was released the same day.

9. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Que Faxiu Arrested

Ms. Que Faxiu from Miyi County was arrested at the Miyi Train Station by railway police at the checkpoint on the afternoon of May 2, 2017.

Ms. Que was released that evening.

10. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Zhichao Detained

Ms. Li Zhichao, about 49 years old, was arrested by officers from the Qiaoxi Police Department on the afternoon of April 22, 2017. Her computer, printer, and cell phone were confiscated.

Ms. Li was taken to the Shisanli Detention Center.

11. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

Officers from the Fushan Town Police Station ransacked Mr. Yang Hongtang's home on April 23, 2017. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Li Huaying's home was also ransacked on the same day. Her book Zhuan Falun and two copies of Falun Gong lectures were confiscated.

12. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Hezhen Detained

Ms. Li Hezhen was arrested on April 30, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is being held in the Tai'an City Detention Center.

13. [Shanghai] Mr. Ling Wenjian and Ms. Lin Baozhen Detained

Mr. Ling Wenjian and Ms. Lin Baozhen from the Pudong New Area were arrested by officers from the Pudong Police Department on April 24, 2017.

Ms. Lin's home was ransacked the following day.

Mr. Ling and Ms. Lin were placed under criminal detention at the Pudong New Area Detention Center.

14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Wenxin and Ms. Zhang Xiaojuan Detained

Mr. Zhang Wenxin and his younger sister Ms. Zhang Xiaojuan from the Nanfan area, Guye District, were arrested by officers from the Guma Township Police Station on the morning of May 2, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Guma Farmers' Market, Luan County.

Mr. Zhang and Ms. Zhang were taken to the Luan County Detention Center that afternoon, and their van was held at the police station.

15. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Yin Sufen Detained

Ms. Yin Sufen, in her fifties, from Hucun Township, was recently arrested. Her home was ransacked on the evening of April 25, 2017.

Ms. Yin is being held in the Puyang City Detention Center.

16. [Yongzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wang Lixiang's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Wang Lixiang from the Lingling District was arrested on April 29, 2017. His computer, printer, and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Mr. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhou Yunpu and Another Practitioner Arrested

Mr. Zhou Yunpu and another practitioner, who is about 70 years old, were arrested and taken to the local police station on the morning of May 1, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

Mr. Zhou was taken to the Shenzhou City Detention Center. The elderly practitioner was released.

18. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yiqiong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yiqiong, in her sixties, was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong.

19. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Yuhong and Ms. Zhang Yuzhen Arrested

Ms. Shi Yuhong from Huayuan Village and Ms. Zhang Yuzhen from Xiaoxing Village, Jiaoxi Town, were arrested by officers from the Jiaoxi Police Station on the evening of May 2, 2017, for hanging Falun Gong banners.

Officers ransacked their homes. They confiscated 50 banners, Falun Gong materials, amulets, and two photos of the founder of Falun Gong from Ms. Zhang's home, and Falun Gong books, materials, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong from Ms. Shi's home.

20. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ren Yuqin Arrested

Elderly Ms. Ren Yuqin was arrested at her home by eleven officers from the Nanzhang Police Station on April 27, 2017.

The officers confiscated all of Ms. Ren's Falun Gong books, Falun Gong related materials, her phone book, and several hundred yuan in paper currency with Falun Gong information printed on them.

Ms. Ren was interrogated at the police station. She did not cooperate with the police and was released that night.
