(Minghui.org) I am now 61 years old, and before I found Falun Dafa 20 years ago, I would never have imagined that I would become so healthy and energetic.
In March 1991, I was hit by a car and thrown over 20 feet. I lost consciousness, was taken to the hospital, and was told I'd had a concussion. I was hospitalized for some time, but since no improvement was observed, I was discharged. At home, I continued to suffer dizziness, headaches, and nausea. I felt muddle-headed all day, and couldn't eat or sleep well. My life was a living hell, and I lost all hope.
My husband took me to my younger sister's home for a short visit in June 1998. My sister was practicing Falun Dafa, and she suggested that I read the book Zhuan Falun, the main book of Dafa. As I was illiterate, she read Zhuan Falun to me.
Master said,
“With this body, one cannot put up with it if the body is cold, hot, tired, or hungry. In any case, it is suffering.” (Zhuan Falun)
Master's words resonated with me profoundly. I listened to my sister with my eyes closed and as I listened my entire body began to feel comfortable.
That night and for five nights in a row, I watched Master Li's lectures at my sister's neighbor's house. When we left, my sister gave me a copy of Zhuan Falun.
At home, I carried Zhuan Falun with me most of the time. I knew very few characters, so I would ask anyone I ran into to teach me. Then, Dafa opened my wisdom. In a very short time, I was able to read Zhuan Falun. Now, I can read all of Master's publications.
Reading Zhuan Falun taught me to live by the principles of Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance. Now, all my illnesses have disappeared and not only can I do housework, but also farm work.
In the past, when our production brigade was collecting reserves from each household, I always handed in my worst grains. Also, I had not paid the village reserve fees due and owed close to 2,000 yuan (USD$300).
After learning Falun Dafa, I understood why it was important to be a truly good person. I handed in my best grains, borrowed some money from my sister and paid off all the dues I owed. The village cadres praised my family at the village assembly. I told the cadres, “This is the result of my practicing Dafa.”
After Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, launched the persecution of Falun Dafa, the police demanded that the village people give up the practice. The Village Party Secretary told them about me being a truly good person. With the secretary's help, I have never been interfered with by officials or the police.
The secretary and our village were blessed because of his support for Dafa. He recovered quickly from high blood pressure and diabetes.
Our area experienced a drought in 2014. While other villages' crops suffered greatly, only our village had two timely heavy rains. Our peanuts yielded more than 1,000 pounds, and our fruit production was excellent too. Almost every family in our village was able to build a nectarine shed that year, which yielded more income in the following years.
