(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cheng Lian Detained

Ms. Cheng Lian from Goumenzi Village, Goumenzi Town, Lingyuan City, was arrested by officers from the Lingyuan City Police Department and the Domestic Security Division on the morning of July 26, 2017.

Ms. Cheng was detained for 15 days in the Lingyuan Detention Center.

2. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yilu and Ms. Kang Qingxiang Arrested

Ms. Li Yilu, 84, and Ms. Kang Qingxiang and were arrested by officers from the Laozhaozhuang Police Station on the morning of August 5, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials at the Laozhaozhuang Town Farmers' Market.

Ms. Li was released because of her advanced age. Ms. Kang was taken to the Linqing City Detention Center. She is now on hunger strike.

3. [Bijie City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Huang Linyuan Sentenced to a Three-and-a-Half-Year Prison Term

Ms. Huang Linyuan, 54, from Jinsha County, was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term. She is being held in the Yang'ai Prison.

4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Xiuyun and Ms. Lu Xiuying Arrested

Ms. Xu Xiuyun and Ms. Lu Xiuying were arrested near the Jinzhou Train Station by officers from the Chezhan Police Station on the afternoon of August 4, 2017.

Ms. Xu was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center. Ms. Lu was released and since returned home.

5. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Junqing Detained

Ms. Yang Junqing, 64, from Renshou County, was arrested at her home by officers from the Chengbei Police Station on the afternoon of August 7, 2017. She was detained for five days in the police station, and is now being held in the Luobanqiao Detention Center in Renshou.

6. [Hongjiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Yingfang Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yang Yingfang was arrested by officers from the Hongjiang City 610 Office and officials from Wanxi Township on August 3, 2017. She was taken to the Huaihua Brainwashing Center.

7. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Heng Guifang Arrested

Ms. Heng Guifang from the Liujiangyuan Residential Community in Bajiaojing Town was arrested on June 7, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials at the Gongnong Village Bus Station.

Ms. Heng was taken to the Gongnong Village Police Station, and was released an hour later.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiong Shunhai and Mr. Liu Arrested

Mr. Xiong Shunhai and Mr. Liu were arrested at home by officers from the Yujiashan Police Station on July 20, 2017.

Mr. Xiong was taken to the Hongshan District Detention Center. Mr. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chao Dongmei Officially Placed Under Arrest

Ms. Chao Dongmei was officially placed under arrest by the Development Zone Procuratorate on August 3, 2017. She is being held in the Langfang City Detention Center.

10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Cunqin and three other practitioners from Angezhuang Town, Luan County, were arrested by officers from the Angezhuang Town Police Station on the morning of August 8, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Wang's home was ransacked.

After having physical exams, three practitioners were taken to a detention center, and one was released.

11. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yu Min and Mr. Yu Haiqing Detained

Mr. Yu Min and Mr. Yu Haiqing from Zhangjiying Township, Beipiao City, were arrested on July 13, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong in a farmers' market. Their homes were ransacked.

Both practitioners are being held in the Liangshuihe Detention Center, Beipiao City.

12. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Shuling Detained

Ms. Wu Shuling from the Kaiping District was arrested on August 2, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Wangnianzhuang Farmers' Market in the Guye District. She was detained for 15 days in Beijiadian Township.
