(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 were illegally arrested.

1. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Hezhen Officially Arrested; Ms. Dai Xianmei Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Hezhen, 54, from Sanhe Village in the Taishan District, and Ms. Dai Xianmei, 72, from Jinshanlu in the Taicheng area, were arrested by officers from the Daizongfang Police Station on June 18, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

Ms. Li has been officially placed under arrest. Ms. Dai was taken to the Xintai City Brainwashing Center.

Both practitioners have been detained for two months.

2. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Jiqing Arrested

Mr. Liu Jiqing was arrested on August 17, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

3. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Peng Shuzhen Arrested

Ms. Peng Shuzhen from Zhanjia Village was arrested at her home by officers from the Pinglidian Police Station on the morning of August 17, 2017.

The officers ransacked the place and confiscated a printer, notebook computer, Falun Gong related materials, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and two copies of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong.

Ms. Peng was released the same day.

4. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Zhuoying and Ms. Liu Guihong Arrested

Ms. Liu Zhuoying and Ms. Liu Guihong were arrested on the morning of August 16, 2017.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Xiao Yunxia Arrested

Ms. Xiao Yunxia was arrested on the morning of August 16, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was taken to the Hougang Police Station in the Wuqing District.

The police ransacked her home and confiscated the book Zhuan Falun.

She was released that afternoon.

6. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Geng Yinfeng Arrested

Eight officers from Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, and two officers from the Gaoxinyuan Police Station in Nanjing City went to Ms. Geng Yinfeng's home in the Jiangning District and ransacked it on the morning of August 15, 2017.

Ms. Geng was arrested.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yuan Xiuhua Detained

Ms. Yuan Xiuhua was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was detained for 15 days.

8. [Pucheng County, Fujian Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Zhaoli, Ms. Yao Sujuan, Ms. Yang Shuifeng, and Ms. Chen Kunlan were arrested on August 16, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

The four practitioners were taken to the Songxi County Detention Center.

9. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yin Chunqiao Arrested

Four officers from the Huizhou City Domestic Security Division and the Yunshan Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Yin Chunqiao's daughter and ransacked it on the afternoon of June 30, 2017.

Ms. Yin Chunqiao was arrested and detained for ten days.

She was arrested again on August 15 for distributing Falun Gong materials. Her current situation is unknown.
