(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 were illegally arrested.

Mr. Chen Yiren, 75, was tried at the Jiangbei District Court on December 14, 2017.
2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Zhou Taken to Brainwashing Center
A practitioner with the last name of Zhou was taken to a brainwashing center after 15 days of detention.

3. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jianrong and Another Practitioner Xiaonong Arrested
Mr. Liu Jianrong and another male practitioner Xiaonong were arrested by officers from the Shenzhou City Police Department on the morning of January 1, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The officers ransacked their homes. They confiscated Falun Gong books from Xiaonong's home and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong from Mr. Liu's home. Xiaonong was released that afternoon. Mr. Liu was taken to a detention center.
4. [Chongqing] Mr. Quan Qiming and Mr. Qu Chi Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Quan Qiming and Mr. Qu Chi, who have been held for one year and five months, were sentenced to prison in the Banan District County Court on December 28, 2017. Mr. Quan was given a five-year prison term.
5. [Longjing City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shuping Detained
Ms. Wang Shuping, 65, was recently arrested. She is being held in the Longjing City Detention Center.
6. [Beihai City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Zheng Zhengxiang Arrested
Ms. Zheng Zhengxiang was arrested and taken to the Gaode Police Station by officers from the Haicheng District Police Department and the Gaode Police Station on the afternoon of January 2, 2018. She was later taken away in a police vehicle. Her whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Chongqing] Ms. Bai Dalan Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Bai Dalan was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials on December 24, 2017. She was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center. She was released four days later.
8. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Guangjie Taken to Prison
Ms. Zhang Guangjie, about 50, was held in the Huyaguan Detention Center. Her mother went to the detention center to visit her on January 2, 2018. A guard told her that Ms. Zhang had been secretly taken to the Wuhan Women's Prison on December 29, 2017.

9. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Taken Into Custody
Ms. Wang Suyan was arrested downstairs in her apartment building by officers from the North Xianyanglu Police Station when she was returning home on the afternoon of December 28, 2017. She is being held in the Hongqiao Police Department. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated two computers and Falun Gong books.
Ms. Jin Zhi was also arrested at the same time. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Beichen Detention Center.
Another practitioner, over 70 years old, was also arrested.
10. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Chongfeng Given an Eight-Year Prison Term
Mr. Li Chongfeng, who works for the Jinzhou Oil Production Plant of Liaohe Oilfield, was arrested on June 28, 2017. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a notebook computer, two printers, an electric scooter, over 40 Falun Gong books, cell phones for personal use, six cell phones dedicated to calling people to tell them about Falun Gong, two packages of printer paper, and printed materials. He was placed in criminal detention on June 29 and held in the Prison Management Sub-team, Jinzhou City Police Department.
Mr. Li was given an eight-year prison term and is being held in the Shenyang No. 1 Prison.
11. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Song Zhiguo's Home Ransacked
Mr. Song Zhiguo's home was ransacked.
12. [Danyang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shu Yadi Taken to Detention Center
Ms. Shu Yadi was sentenced to a year in prison, to be served outside prison. Shortly after, she was arrested at home by officers from the 610 Office on December 28, 2017. She is being held in the Zhenjiang City Detention Center.
13. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shuhua Officially Arrested
Ms. Wang Shuhua was officially arrested at the end of December 2017. Her husband, Mr. Li Guojun, is also a practitioner.
