(Minghui.org) I was fortunate enough to obtain the Fa when I was very young. I accompanied my parents to the Falun Dafa group practice and Fa study. After my parents started their cultivation, they experienced the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and began to educate me following the requirements of Dafa's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
They asked me to consider others first when doing things and to be kind to others at all times. Therefore I was taught the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance at a very young age. As I grew up, Dafa began to take root in my heart and I also experienced the happiness and beauty that Dafa has brought to me.
Dafa Enables Me to Be Talented and Healthy
According to the grown-ups at the group Fa study site, even though I was merely six years old and had not started school, I could manage to read paragraphs of Zhuan Falun without a single mistake. I joined the adult Fa study group and studied Fa with them. Everybody there all felt it was an amazing thing.
Although I was quite young at that time and didn’t understand the deeper meanings of the Fa teachings, I was getting the benefit of staying within the Fa unknowingly. My wisdom was opened up within the Fa and that made me smarter than my young friends of the same age.
For example, when I was in primary school, the school conducted a survey on character reading. The number of characters that I recognized far surpassed even those students in a higher grade. My teachers were quite amazed! Also, my parents arranged for me to learn how to play the electronic keyboard. For a tune that normally needs 1 or 2 days to learn, I could play it very well and skillfully within one to two hours. My tutor felt that I had talent and enjoyed teaching me.
During my childhood, my parents focused more on development of my xinxing than on my academic performance. They didn’t provide any extra tutoring classes for me either, but I have always done very well academically. I didn’t understand it when I was young and merely felt things like that happened very naturally. After I grew up, I gradually came to understand that this was the fortune brought to me by Falun Dafa.
Cultivation in Falun Dafa has brought me not only a sunny and positive mindset, but also a healthy physical body. Since my cultivation, I have not been ill once. Apart from the immunizations that were required by the school for all students, I have not had a single injection, nor a pill.
To an everyday person, this is something unimaginable. However, it appears to be quite natural for a Falun Dafa cultivator. My family members who cultivate also experience good health. So also do other cultivators.
Conflict Can Be Resolved By Looking Within
As I grew up, I slowly began to understand the deeper meanings of the Fa teachings, and I started to hold myself to the standard of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The way I think is very different from that of a non-cultivator. An everyday person tends to protect his self-interests, and considers how others might harm him. However, as a Dafa cultivator, one needs to examine himself all the time following a practitioner’s standard. When encountering problems, one needs to look inward first and find out if there is anything that is wrong. This way, many conflicts can easily be resolved.
I came to understand that when in a conflict, if a cultivator quibbles over every single detail and treats the situation just like an everyday person, the conflict would become worse and the human relationship would become more and more complicated. People would become more extreme and agitated. Some could even experience difficulty eating and sleeping and have problems both physically and mentally.
In fact, the conflict between people comes about when one cannot abandon his own interests and fails to consider others first. However, Dafa cultivators are not attached to gains and losses in the human world. They don’t fight like others, but look inward. They have already transcended the ordinary people’s realm. What they have gained are peace of mind and a healthy body, and the conflict is resolved.
Pure Mental State Gained in Dafa Make My Study Efficient
Master mentioned in the Fa: “...a practitioner should demonstrate that he is a good person wherever he is.” (“Teaching the Fa and Answering Questions in Guangzhou” from The Law of Zhuan Falun Explained)
Therefore, I have been very conscientious in study and actively try to do well as a student. The wisdom I gained from the Fa has helped me to acquire knowledge and think about things broadly. Due to a clear state of mind and pure thoughts gained from Dafa, I am able to maintain good focus and memory when studying, and I do not quibble over everything with others.
Therefore, I often get twice the results with half of the effort. When the efficiency of my study increased, the final results were naturally satisfactory. During my master’s degree study, I was considered the number one graduate student academically and excelled in research.
As I have become older, I have witnessed the natural process of “birth-old age-illness-death” of many ordinary people around me, as well as the painful sufferings during their illness karma. Reviewing the past one hundred years, it seems if a living person has not obtained the Fa, all he had in life were endless fights and struggle over self interest. He was not able to extricate himself out of sentimentality and exhausted his body and spirit, and in the end, everything was empty, like a dream. He wasted his lifetime and could not find the true meaning of life. Only cultivation can help one to upgrade his level and realm and acquire the forever relief and happiness in life.
Buddha Law is not superstition, but genuine science. The Fa that Master Li Hongzhi taught is the genuine truth. It is not easy to acquire a human body. We will be too late to regret it if we are lost in the fame, gain, and sentimentality of the human world, and thus we will lose the opportunity of tens of thousands of years.
I hope more people in the world will break free of the lies of the evil Chinese Communist Party and will experience the amazement and beauty that Dafa can bring to life.
