(Minghui.org) Looking back at my recent cultivation path, I found that I have improved in my capacity to forbear, endure hardships, be patient, and forgive. My understanding of the Fa principles have elevated as I raised my xinxing.
I used to think that enduring hardships was a bad thing, but I have now changed my thinking and take hardship as joy.
After reading Master Li's lectures, I realized that bitterness, happiness, tiredness, sleepiness, coldness, heat, thirst, hunger, pain, comfort, and discomfort are all notions that dominate this human dimension.
To truly walk out of humanness, we should rid ourselves of things that are part of being human, and not be bound by these low level elements. If we can avoid sensing them and see them as something smaller than us, we can transcend them.
Master said,
“As you know, during your cultivation, not only will all elements that constitute your humanness try to stop you from breaking away from being a human, but also everything that constitutes the human environment won’t let you leave. You have to break through everything and overcome all kinds of ordeals. The biggest manifestation is the suffering they create for you.” (Teaching the Fa at the Assistants’ Fa Conference in Changchun)
“Don’t you feel sleepy as soon as you read the book, or become drowsy once you study the Fa? Let me tell you that those are gods at a level in this human dimension. If you can’t break through them, you remain a human.” (Teaching the Fa at the Assistants’ Fa Conference in Changchun)
I also recall Master's teaching,
“But in reality, what human society takes to be truths are, from the perspective of the cosmos, inversions of truth; when humans go through hardship and suffer it is so that they may pay off karma and thereby have happiness in the future. A cultivator thus needs to cultivate by correct and upright truths. Going through hardship and suffering is an outstanding opportunity to remove karma, be cleansed of sin, purify the body, elevate your plane of thought, and rise in level—it’s an extraordinarily good thing. This is a correct and upright Fa-truth.” (“The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be” from The Essentials Of Diligent Progress Vol. III)
Things changed when I enlightened to the Fa principles and transformed my thoughts. I used to get annoyed when I felt tired, but now I think it's a good thing.
Master said,
“This is what I'd think: ‘You're cold, and you try to make me cold--are you trying to make me freeze? I'll be even colder than you, I'll make you cold.’ (Audience laughs. Applause) Or, ‘You're trying to make me hot. I'll turn it around and make you hot--so hot that you can't stand it.’” (Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference)
I tell the old forces, “Transfer the exhaustion onto the beings that are persecuting me! I will make you tired!” As soon as the thought emerges, I stop feeling exhausted, and I am not tired for the rest of the day.
A practitioner once said that he wanted to be a good Dafa disciple. I, too, wanted to be a diligent Dafa disciple.
I then felt a wave of righteous thoughts rising from within. I could not help but yell out at the old forces that persecuted me and all the beings in the cosmos, “I am a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple!”
With Master's help, when my righteous thoughts become stronger and stronger, I can overcome human feelings and walk out of humanness.
I now join three Fa study groups every day. We improve and elevate as a group and look inward when encountering conflicts.
We have submitted to the highest courts complaint letters against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party who launched the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999.
I have been doing the three things asked of practitioners for the past few years, including talking to people about the persecution and distributing Dafa brochures. There is not much time left before the Fa-rectification is over, and we cannot turn back the clock.
I hope we can help more people understand the goodness of Falun Dafa and fulfill our vows. Let's be diligent on our path to divinity!
