(Minghui.org) I've noticed that many practitioners casually do things in the name of “Dafa.”
For example, a practitioner said that she often sings “Dafa songs,” songs which were actually composed by Falun Dafa practitioners. My understanding of “Dafa songs” are those written by Master.
I've also noticed there are now so-called Dafa media, a Dafa company, a Dafa movie, Dafa clothes, and so on. I feel it is inappropriate to designate them that way. In order to promote Falun Dafa and make people aware of the persecution, we often adopt certain forms in society, but they, themselves, are not related to Dafa.
Master said:
“But a media entity is a company that’s by nature planted in ordinary human society. The media companies that you run are not media set up by Dafa. That’s something I told you about long ago. They are media established by Dafa disciples, and meant to take root in ordinary society. Dafa has no media; Dafa is simply cultivation.” (Fa Teaching Given at the 2010 New York Fa Conference)
I think we all want to be mindful of keeping the purity of Dafa and should not casually use the name “Dafa.”
This is my understanding at my current level. Please kindly point out any shortcomings.
