(Minghui.org) It was recently confirmed by Minghui.org that two women from Langfang City, Hebei Province, were each secretly sentenced to 1.5 years in prison on May 30, 2018, for talking to people about their faith, Falun Gong.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Li Wenhong and Ms. Lu Ronggai were arrested on September 26, 2017, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmer's market. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated their printers, computers, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. The police held them in the Bazhou City Detention Center and refused their families' repeated demands for their release.
Both women's families were kept in the dark after they were taken to Shijiazhuang Women's Prison to serve time on September 3, 2018.
Ms. Li used to suffer from stomach paralysis and couldn't keep any food down. She is 5’6’’ tall but weighed only 90 pounds. She credited Falun Gong for curing her when neither Western nor traditional Chinese medicine did her any good. Now she has been sentenced to prison for telling people how practicing Falun Gong saved her life.
