(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. The book Zhuan Falun, Dafa’s main book, has solved all the problems I’ve encountered and answered all the questions I’ve had about life and the universe.
But within only one year of my beginning cultivation practice, Jiang Zimen, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), launched the order to eradicate Falun Dafa. The CCP has since been fabricating lies that slander the practice. Many people have been deceived and lost their opportunity to benefit from the practice.
I felt that it was my duty to tell people the truth about the persecution, but the CCP arrested me for exposing their lies. I have spent, in total, one half of the past 19 years in forced labor camps, prisons, and brainwashing centers. I have been subjected to many types of cruel torture because I refused to renounce Dafa and slander the founder of this great practice, Master Li Hongzhi. While incarcerated, I was tortured to the point that I lost consciousness on three separate occasions. However, with my strong faith in Master Li and Dafa, I made it through those life and death trials.
Enduring Relentless Persecution
I was blacklisted by the CCP from the beginning of the persecution. The authorities pressured my managers and supervisors to force me to give up Dafa. But I was firm in my belief even while being tortured. Though they tried their hardest to make me quit, I would not comply with their demands and continued to tell them that Falun Dafa is good and the persecution is wrong.
A manager who understood the truth came to me one day in tears and said, “Our company cannot keep you employed any longer. We received an order from the top level saying that we have to fire you if you don’t sign a guarantee statement. We don't want to lose you, but we have to follow orders.”
I replied, “You all know that Dafa has helped so many people become healthy and kind, and I won’t to cause you any trouble. If you really can't keep me on, I will just go around and tell people the facts about Dafa.” In the end, they didn't fire me.
But later that year, officers from the local 610 Office arrested me. The management from my company came and demanded my release. Because they spoke up for me, the police stopped persecuting me. Coincidentally, the managers who stood up for me were all promoted.
On sensitive days, the management sent two female colleagues to stay with me, and two male colleagues to guard the entrance of my apartment building in case police came to arrest me.
I told my female colleagues, “You both have small kids, so why don't you go home. Just say that I refused to open the door for you.” I then said to the two guys, “Since it's so cold out, you are welcome to come in and watch TV for a while.”
But I was eventually arrested and detained in a forced labor camp. I was beaten until I was black and blue all over. There were burn marks all over my arms and neck from being shocked with electric batons while I was tied up with ropes. I was also handcuffed for a very long time. Due to the torture, my body swelled up and I walked with a limp.
One day, the guard who led the torture asked, “Do you hate me?” I replied, “Falun Dafa practitioners don’t harbor resentment, and I can see your kind side. Did you feel uncomfortable seeing me in such agony?” He became teary and said he would never torture me again.
I said one day to the female guard who was responsible for brainwashing us, “You know that Dafa has spread around the world. If it were not good, why would so many people practice it? You know how many practitioners that this place has illegally held and tortured. I hope you can think this through and realize how bad this is for you and your family.”
I shared several personal cultivation experiences with her. She finally understood and offered me a place to rest, as I had been deprived of sleep for a long time. A few days later, she told me that she would only talk about history in her classes. She later gave me a Winter coat as a gift. I was happy for her. Her kind side had awakened!
Reciting Falun Dafa Is Good
An acquaintance once visited and told me that his health was very poor, and his stomach hurt after he ate. He could only take in fluid, and no one knew how to cure him. He came to me because he wanted to ask if practicing Falun Dafa could help him. He worshiped Buddha in hopes that it would cure his illness, but he saw no improvement.
I explained to him that Falun Dafa was a true cultivation practice, that only a true Fa or Way can can heal illness, and that the main purpose was to teach one how to return to their true self.
He didn't have the courage to practice Dafa due to the persecution, so I suggested that he sincerely recite, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” He said that he would, and went on his way.
I saw him four months later. His spirits were high, and his complexion looked great. As soon as he entered my home, he sang out, “I am doing well!” He told me about how he began to feel better right after he started recited the phrases. He said he can now can eat anything.
They Only Sell Quality Lamb
One afternoon I went to a supermarket to buy a cut of lamb. When I got home, I found that the owner had undercharged me by four yuan. I went back to give her the money I owed as soon as I realized what had happened.
She was shocked that I came back to repay her, “How can you be so honest in today's society?” I replied, “Falun Gong practitioners practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, so it is natural that I would return the money. When I offered her brochures about Falun Dafa, she gladly accepted them.
She smiled when I saw her again and said, “Both my husband and I enjoyed reading the information you gave me. I would like to learn how to elevate my morality too!” She said that after learning the facts, she and he husband decided not to sell any low-quality meat, and carry out their business in an honest and upright manner.
She later confided, “Our business is now doing so well. This proves that good is rewarded with good. When people find out that our lamb is good quality, they go out of their way to buy it from us.”
I felt happy that they learned the truth and chose a bright future for themselves.
