(Minghui.org) The confirmed number of Falun Gong practitioners targeted in the mass arrests in Heilongjiang Province on November 9, 2018, has risen to 119, according to the latest information obtained by the Minghui website.
Two of the practitioners were arrested—Ms. Wu Xiulan and a Ms. Mu—are around 80 years old. Everyone is from one of two metropolitan areas: Harbin or Daqing.
As of now, 35 have been released, 17 from Harbin and 18 from Daqing. The rest remain in custody and face possible prosecution for their faith.
It was reported that the authorities have been monitoring the practitioners' cellphones and/or social media activities in the months leading up to the arrests. The police were given lists of names of who to arrest.
Most practitioners were arrested early in the morning before they went to work. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books and computers.
In particular, Su Haiqing, 64, had more than 10,000 yuan cash taken from her home in the Songbei District of Harbin City.
If the practitioner refused to open the door for the police, they either broke in or pretended to be utility personnel and deceived the practitioner into opening the door.
A total of 65 practitioners arrested in the greater Harbin area, which includes the city of Harbin and its subordinate cities and counties, have had their names confirmed. The identities of those remaining remain to be investigated.

From the A'cheng District (5): Wu Guizhi, Sun Xiaohui, Hou Junyan, Tang Xiuli, Li Xueqin
From the Shuangcheng District (6): Xu Yan, Liu Jianfang, Chen Xianyuan, Zhang Huashan, Zhang Yuzhi, Fang Guilan

In addition to the 47 who were arrested, 11 practitioners were harassed on the same day: Zhao Xiuying, Wang Guiyan, Yang Xiugong, Zhang Guixiang, Sheng Xiaoyun, Li Guixian, Li Ruixia, Cui Xiaohong, and practitioners surnamed Zheng, Li, and Zhou.
In particular, Mr. Dai Yi and Ms. Sheng Xiaoyun are the parents-in-law of American TV anchor Ben Hedges, who hosts a popular commentary program on Chinese culture on New York-based New Tang Dynasty TV Station. He and his wife, Ms. Crescent Dai, are calling for international attention to the 19-year-long persecution of Falun Gong.
