(Minghui.org) Two Dezhou City residents were arrested on November 2, 2018, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong, a mind-body cultivation discipline persecuted by the communist regime in China since 1999.
Ms. Xing Liqiu and Ms. Wang Li were taken to the local police station for interrogation after officers searched their persons and confiscated their electric motorcycles.
While Ms. Wang, in her 50s, was released later that day after she failed the physical requirements to be admitted to the detention center, Ms. Xing, 64, remained in custody. Her family signed her detention notice one week after her arrest.
This is the sixth time that Ms. Xing has been arrested for her faith. In addition to the repeated arrests and harassment, she had served two terms in a labor camp in 2006 and 2010 for a total of three years and three months.
Because she refused to renounce her faith, she was subjected to long hours of brainwashing and various forms of torture, including deprivation of restroom use, sitting on a “small stool” for an extended period of time without moving, and hard labor.
