(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 were illegally arrested.

2. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Shuqin Held in Prison

4. [Guangde County, Anhui Province] Ms. Huang Junrong and Ms. Liu Zhinan Sentenced to Prison

6. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Taken Into Custody

1. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Huiyun and Ms. Liang Yanying Detained

Ms. Yang Huiyun and Ms. Liang Yanying from Yitong County were arrested by officers from the Xijie Police Station on the morning of February 4, 2018, for handing out Falun Gong calendars in Yitong County. They were detained in a local detention center.

2. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Shuqin Held in Prison

Ms. Hu Shuqin was arrested in early January 2018. She is held in the Changchun Women's Prison.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Shen Sufang Detained

Ms. Shen Sufang 76, a retired worker from the Longquan Town Transportation Department, was arrested on January 26, 2018, for telling people about the practice at a farmers market. She was taken to the Longquan Detention Center and is being held for 14 days.

4. [Guangde County, Anhui Province] Ms. Huang Junrong and Ms. Liu Zhinan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Huang Junrong, 80, and Ms. Liu Zhinan, 72, were each sentenced to one year in prison with a year and six months of probation. They were also fined 5,000 yuan by the Guangde Court.

5. [Jiangxi Province] Mr. Liu Zhenyang Arrested

Mr. Liu Zhenyang was arrested on December 14, 2017.

6. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Taken Into Custody

Ms. Liao Yuanhua, Ms. Gong Yuegui, Ms. Liu Yanfeng, and Ms. Chen Xuezhen from Wuxue City were arrested by officers from the Wuxue City State Security Division and other local police stations on January 11, 2018. They were taken to the Huanggang Police Station.
