(Minghui.org) A Chinese poem applauds the spring rain for moistening plants at night. As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I have adopted this ideal, which is silently and gradually influencing people and helping them understand Dafa.
I am a teacher. When I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997, I read Zhuan Falun to my colleagues during lunch break, so they understood that Dafa is good. Moreover, they saw the physical changes I experienced after I practiced Dafa, such as no longer wearing glasses and looking healthier.
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Dafa, I told my colleagues cultivation stories and exposed many of the CCP's lies. I helped them quit the CCP. Thus, when the school board asked about Falun Dafa practitioners, my colleagues protected me.
I was able to form a good work environment, because I follow the Falun Dafa principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Goodness of a Practitioner
Teacher Li's child became suddenly sick. She took him to the hospital and forgot to ask for a substitute teacher. When she rushed to school for her class, she saw me covering for her already. She was moved to tears.
Teacher Yang was to host a demonstrative class for the school board. When she had a rehearsal class, no teacher showed up because her classroom was very cold. I was the only one, sitting through the full class and giving her feedback. She later won a municipal excellence award.
When our principal assigned a teacher for the kindergarten class, the first and second teachers he picked said no. Then he asked me and I accepted the assignment. My colleagues were surprised, as I taught higher grade classes. Why was I willing to go to the lowest one? The answer was simple: “The founder of Falun Dafa told us to be even better than the role models.”
When I talked to the principal about quitting the CCP, she did not hesitate. She also wanted her family to quit the Party.
Openly Representing Dafa
I give other teachers calendars every year, which contain messages about Falun Dafa. They usually put the calendars on their desks. A school board member visited our school and saw the calendar on the principal's desk, and suggested that it was inappropriate.
“Why not?” replied the principal, “It gives us the dates. The CCP didn't give us a calendar.”
The new head of the school board was assigned to our school for a short period. He invited me to ride with him. I sent forth the righteous thoughts and started talking about Dafa. He said that he had read the Dafa books before and agreed to quit the CCP.
I also tell my students about traditional Chinese culture and values, so my class is very popular. One lecture of the textbook was about a village that cut down all their trees, ignoring a warning. Then a flood destroyed the entire village.
I asked the students to share similar examples from their lives. A student said she and her mom ran into a lady on the street who told them to remember “Falun Dafa is good.” She also suggested that the student quit the Communist Young Pioneers, but her mom stopped her.
“Do you think that lady was doing it for your good or to harm you?” I asked her.
“For my own good.”
“Should we quit or not quit then?” I asked.
“Quit!” The whole class answered uniformly in a loud voice.
