(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Huijie was recently sentenced to one year in prison for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.

This is not the first time that the Dong’a County resident has been targeted for her faith. When she was detained in 2000, officer Xue Qian beat her so badly that she couldn’t move for three days.

Ms. Wang’s latest arrest took place on June 8, 2017 while she was talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked the following day.

Ms. Wang appeared in court on January 16, 2018, and she was convicted weeks later.
