(Minghui.org) Mr. Zheng Decai, 80, from Xiaoying Village in Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province, was arrested at home on September 4, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Dafa in Guangmingshan Town. He was taken to a detention center.
The police ransacked his home the next day. His family was notified that his arrest was approved on September 15, 2017.
When Mr. Zheng developed health problems after being detained for 37 days, he was released on medical parole. He was notified on March 14, 2018 to report to the courthouse. He is now awaiting trial.
Previous Arrests
Mr. Zheng went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Dafa in 2000. After he was arrested there, he was beaten by police until he lost his hearing. His son was also beaten.
He was arrested again on February 15, 2010, sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison, and taken to Dalian Prison. He suffered a heart attack while imprisoned and was taken to Chunliu Central Medical Center in Dalian City. He was cuffed and shackled to the hospital bed while he recovered.
Police Leave Empty-handed
Three officers from the Guangmingshan Town Police Station went to Mr. Zheng's home without a warrant and ransacked it on June 23, 2017.
He asked the police officers, “Over a hundred million people follow Falun Dafa's teaching to become good people. What are you searching for?”
The officers then found a photo of Mr. Li Hongzi, the founder of Falun Dafa, but Mr. Zheng grabbed it and said, “You can't touch this!”
The officers could only take a photo of Mr. Zheng and left empty-handed.
